Maddie

"Come on, Maddie!" Alistair Wonderland called from the top of the cliff, his blonde hair flowing in the wind. He was on all fours, in a crawling position. Alistair was the son of Alice, and my best friend forever after.

"Alistair, I won't get there fast enough!" I called back, my mint–and–purple pigtails flying.

"Yes, you can. You're the fastest girl in Wonderland Spellementary! And you're the Madeline Hatter, you beat Chase Redford, which is–was the fastest guy in the whole sixth grade!" Alistair said encouragingly. I nodded, and grasped my hand on a rock. I put my other hand on a higher rock, and my feet on two other rocks. I climbed fairy fast. My pigtails were flying in my face. I was so close to the top, I put my foot on a rock. It crumbled under my weight, the other rocks I was holding onto were starting to crackle. I heard a loud noise and the rocks started to crumble. I panicked, the other rock my foot was on crumbled. I was hanging, I looked down but I wish I hadn't. The rocks I was holding onto for my life gave up on me, and crumbled.

"Alistair!" I screamed, falling. Then a hand grasped mine. I saw Alistair holding onto my hand like I was a valuable gem.

"Got you." He said, helping me up onto the cliff. I panted, my hand on my chest as I felt my heart crashing against my chest.

"I told you that you would make it." Alistair sat down next to me.

"Barely." I narrowed my eyes playfully at him. Then I playfully punched his arm.

"Ow." Alistair held his arm. Then he stood up and looked at me, his blue eyes glimmering against the setting sun. "Maddie," Alistair began, helping me up,"will you go to the graduation beach party with me?"

"Um, Chase...already asked me." I said quietly.

"Oh, so no?" Alistair's face fell.

"You're my best friend forever after. Of course I'd go with you and not Chase." I heard my father calling my name. Alistair heard it, too.

"Bye, Maddie." Alistair waved.

"Bye, Alistair." I headed down the cliff. I stopped in my tracks, and ran back to him. I turned him around gave him a big hug. Then I skipped down to meet my father, a huge smile on my face. I was going to the beach party. With Alistair. My fairy best friend forever after.

At The Hatter's House

I looked in my mirror to see if my outfit was alright. A mint flowing high–low tank top, and a purple skirt that reached my knees. I wore mint flats with a purple bow. I let my hair loose. I liked how I looked, but something was missing. My hat! What's a Hatter without her hat? I found my purple teacup hat and put it on. I heard a knock at the door, and went to answer it. It was Alistair. He was wearing a blue shirt with brown shorts and brown shoes.

"Maddie!" Alistair said. "You look...cool."

"Thanks." I said, pulling my hair behind my ear. "The pea pod isn't blue, and the fish doesn't eat you."

"Come on, let's go." Alistair and I walked to the beach. He went to go talk to his other friends. I went to talk to Lizzie Hearts, Kitty Cheshire, and Bunny Blanc. Lizzie wore a red dress that had black hearts on it. She wore black flats and her signature crown. Kitty was wearing a black–and–purple skirt with black leggings and a black jacket. She hated getting wet, but the Cheshire Cat insisted Kitty go to the beach. Bunny had a black skirt and a white top, simple clothing. But she had a had a bow, too. It was half white and half black.

"Looks like this cat got her toy." Kitty purred, a smirk on her face.

"What do you mean?" Me, Lizzie, and Bunny asked in unison.

"Ugh, come on, open your eyes." Kitty growled. "Do you not see how Alistair looks at Maddie?"

"What?" Bunny screamed. Everyone knew she had the biggest crush on Alistair. And by everyone, I mean just me, Lizzie, and Kitty. "But Maddie's...well...mad!" I tried not to show how sad I felt, but I didn't do it very well. Bunny had a guilty look on her face. "Oh, sorry, Maddie."

"I just don't like it when people judge me because of my madness." I said. "Bunny, you're my friend. Of course I'll forgive you!"

"Off with your head!" Lizzie screamed, mainly because Chase had spilled some of his drink on her dress. Chase slowly backed away, then turned and ran. "As future queen, I demand him to detention on the first day of junior high! No, the first month!"

Alistair walked over to us. Bunny immediately started to fix up her clothes.

"Hey, guys." Alistair said. "Did you know there's water to go into?"

"Yay!" I cheered. "Let's get changed!" I ran off with Bunny and Lizzie. Then turned around. "Except for you, Kitty."

We got into our bathing suits, and headed for the beach. Again. This was the most spelltacular day ever after! I headed toward the water. I jumped in, followed my Lizzie and Bunny. Then a big splash drenched us all.

"Alistair!" We all screamed.

"Splash fight!" I screamed. I splashed Bunny, then she splashed Alistair. He splashed Lizzie and Lizzie did it to me. All the splashing was fairy, fairy messy. When we stopped our splash fight, we turned to see a drenched Kitty Cheshire. She was trembling, teeth chattering. She disappeared leaving her signature smile, except it was chattering teeth. That disappeared too. Later, she reappeared completely dry. We dried ourselves off with towels, and then went to the cliff I almost fell off of.

"Best day ever after!" Lizzie chirped, waving her hands in the air.

"I can't wait until junior high!" Alistair said.

"Me neither!" I said. "The raven is black, color it does lack!"

"Agreed." My friends said in unison.

In Wonderland Middle School, Geografairy Class

"Partner group number eighteen:Madeline Hatter, Alistair Wonderland"–me and Alistair looked at each other and smiled, which caused whispers to go through the class–"and Bunny Blanc." Professor Rabbit finished. I met up with Bunny and Alistair on our cliff.

"This project is gong to be fableous! Especially with us three working together!" I put my hands in the hair. "But first, a bit of tea!" I pulled out a table and all the tea–time essentials out of my purple teacup hat. I seated Bunny and Alistair, poured a cup of tea, then gave them bread and jam. Or if they preferred butter.

"Yeah, plus, we got to study Wonderland!" Bunny cheered, taking a sip of her tea.

"What if we got some boring place like Ever After? Or the Land of the Giants?" I wondered out loud. There on that cliff, we worked on our project. We finished one–quarter of it today. It was due in a week, so we had made fairy good progress. We decided to meet at the Wonderland Cafe.

Hey Unitatos(I guess I'm going to start calling my readers that now)!
unicorn23potato here with the first chapter of...*drumroll*...Wonderfully Mad! Hope you liked it, I tried to make Maddie mad enough. Let me know if you want me to make her even more mad in future chapters(which are being edited). I'm currently writing, like, three other books, so...yeah. Two of them are Ever After High, one is Warriors(a beautiful series about cats, which, if you don't already, you should read). So let me know if Maddie isn't mad enough, or Kitty isn't Cheshire–ish enough.

Until next time Unitatos,
