Maddie
I made my way to the Wonderland Cafe, skipping along the hat–tastic roads of Wonderland. I stumbled across huge glasses. Literally. I stood up and brushed my skirt off. Then fixed my beloved hat.
"Excuse me, Mr. Glasses On The Road, but would you please not trip people? It is quite rude." I scolded the glasses. I mean, glasses have many uses. I checked, but tripping people is not one of them. Then I realized what the glasses actually were. A rabbit hole! Maybe it could take me to the cafe! But what if it doesn't? Okay, option one:walk all the way to the Cafe which is going to take forever after. Option two:take the rabbit hole and possibly end up in the Wonderland Cafe. Option three:just don't go. After careful consideration, I decided to go with...option two. I jumped into the glasses, and ended up in a tree. I jumped into the tree and ended up outside the castle.
"Guards! Get her! Off with her head!" I heard the loud scream of the Queen of Hearts. I jumped into a bush, then ended up outside the cafe! I was just about to walk in when heard Bunny and Alistair talking. Now, I'm not one to eavesdrop, but I definitely heard my name.
"Alistair, what do you think of Maddie?" Bunny asked.
"She's smart, funny, mad, in a good way, and she's my best friend forever after." Alistair replied.
"Yeah, but...she's a bit too mad, isn't she?" Bunny asked. I felt like taking her ears off and throwing her into an endless rabbit hole.
"What do you mean?"
"Oh, y'know, the way she'll suddenly blurt things out in Riddlish, the way she gets crazy, and let's not forget how she has an entire tea party in her hat." Bunny then whispered, "Who does that?"
"Well, I guess you have a point." Alistair slowly agreed. My best friend forever after thought about me like that? I felt like my heart broke in two, then shoved into a never–ending rabbit hole. I felt like all my madness and wonder drained out of me. I even felt my hair deflate, it used to be fun and puffy. But now, it was boring and straight. I decided that I wouldn't let them finish their conversation. I walked in and took a seat at their table.
"Hey, Maddie." Alistair said.
"Oh, don't you, 'Hey, Maddie' me!" I growled at him.
"What do you mean?" Bunny asked.
"Tell me if this sounds familiar, 'Alistair, what do you think of Maddie?', really?" I mimicked. "Or this, 'She's smart, funny, mad, in a good way, and she's my best friend forever after.' Alistair?"
"Maddie, I–"
"Let me finish. 'Yeah, but...she's a bit too mad, isn't she?'
'What do you mean?'
'Oh, y'know, the way she'll suddenly blurt things out in Riddlish, the way she gets crazy, and let's not forget how she has and entire tea party in her hat. Who does that?'
'Well, I guess you have a point.' Alistair?" I was crying now. "Best friends forever after don't break each other's hearts, much less think negatively about them.""Maddie, I was just saying what came into my mind." Alistair explained.
"What came into your mind? Is that what you think of me? A crazy, Riddlish–speaking, tea–partying girl? That's not the Alistair I know. Much less my best friend forever after." I got up and wiped my tears. Alistair grabbed my wrist. I pulled my wrist out of his grip.
"Maddie, I'm so sorry." Alistair said, tears welling into his eyes.
"Well, you should have thought of that when you were breaking my heart." I said coldly. I kept walking toward the exit. A single tear made its way down Alistair's cheek. He tried going after me, but Bunny stopped him. I hexted Lizzie.
Maddie:Think I could stay at your house tonight?
Lizzie:Yeah its been ages since we've had a sleepover! Oh, Kitty's staying too!
Maddie:Great I'll tell my dad! See you soon! :)
Lizzie:Okay! :)I called my dad to tell him I was staying at Lizzie's and, like always, said it was okay. I grabbed all the stuff I needed, and went to the castle of the Queen of Hearts.
"Maddie! You're here!" Lizzie gave me a hug. Kitty just stood there.
"Yeah, I've got my stuff." My hair still hadn't puffed back up.
"Come, let's go to my room." Lizzie took me up three flights of stairs before we reached her room. Kitty beat us there.
"Oh, did the kitten lose her toy?" Kitty smirked.
"First of all, I am not a cat that lost her toy, you are!" I pointed at Kitty. "Second, I did lose something. Well, more like someone."
"What did Alistair do?" Lizzie asked.
"Well, Bunny said some really mean things about me. And..."–I looked down–"and he agreed." I was on the verge of tears.
"Oh, that–that–" Lizzie screamed. "Off with his head!"
My MirrorPhone beeped. It was a hext. From Alistair.
Alistair:Maddie I'm so sorry!
Maddie:I don't want to talk to you!
Alistair:Are you going to block me?
Maddie:Great idea! That's the first smart thing you've said today!
Alistair:Maddie D:I pressed the "Block" button and then left my MirrorPhone.
Hey Unitatos!
Sorry I took long to post this but, I was trying to make Maddie mad. Not the Hatter mad, the angry mad. Tell me if I did a good job on that!!! I hope I did, anyway next chapter will be up soon. I didn't really try to make Kitty more Cheshire–ish because...reasons. Oh, the rest of the chapters are either being typed or edited. Please do keep in mind that I am working on this book along with a few others. I will try to post a schedule of what books I am working on.Til next time Unitatos,
