It was late afternoon and I was sitting in my room listening to all time low getting ready to go to my best friend Connor's house.
I sighed packing the last poster I had on my wall into a box and I looked around at my once covered walls
I get a text from Connor
C- I'm outside. Hurry up!!
I laugh and put on a red and black flannel and a black SnapBack and fix my hair quickly and slip on leggings and black vans
I run downstairs to see my mom and dad in the kitchen talking about what box the plates are going in and they look over to me
"Um.. Connors outside, we're gonna hang out for a bit" I smile
"Okay, just don't be home too late" my mom says
"Okay, bye" I say and open the door
"Love you honey" my mom and dad say in unison
"You too" I say and walk outside closing the front door behind me
I see Connor and he honks at me and I smile at him
I'm gonna miss him.. I think to myself
I get in the passenger seat and he looks over at me "looking good" he smirks and he backs out of my driveway slowly and starts to drive
"Where are we going?" I say curiously
"Only our favorite places in this dead beat town" he laughs and so do I
I turn up his radio and blink- 182 starts to play and we sing along to it
We arrive at our favorite diner and I smile over at him "aww how romantic" I say sarcastically as I poke his nose
He giggles and looks at his nose weirdly and I smile at him
"well, let's go!! I'm hungry" he says happily
"Preach" I say and get out as he does and we walk inside
After an half an hour at the diner we finally finish our lunch and we walk out to Connor's car and I get in as he does too and he starts the car
"Where to now?" I ask curiously
"our favorite place since we were 12" he says and he turns to me smiling
"Hmm.. The lake?!" I say excitedly
"Duh" he says and I squeal
The lake was our favorite place, where we hung out the most and where we became friends. We have been friends since 6th grade and now we're sophomores in high school.
It's been a long 5 years, but we have made it through a lot together. We're pretty much inseparable.
But I'm moving to Australia.
I frown and look over at him
"Your thinking what I'm thinking about aren't you?" I sigh and he runs a hand through his brown hair
"You moving? Yeah" he sighs
"It's gonna be so difficult. I'm not good at making new friends!" I say and look down
"I'm going to miss you so much Ally" he says sincerely
"You too" I say and look over to him again
He smiles a little and pulls up by the lake
"We're here" he says
SHE DIDNT WANT TO MOVE
