i knocked on the apartment door, (for the third time) and leaned against it as i watched a girl and her mom walking into their apartment.
the apartment complex was actually pretty nice, with windows at the end of the halls that showed the town. i had yet to see inside an apartment, though.
i yelped as the door opened behind me and i flailed my arms for balance, like a very uncoordinated penguin. someone's bare arms caught me.
"woah there," ashton grinned, standing me up.
"sorry-the door opened-and uh," i muttered random words, blushing as i noticed he was shirtless, with his v-line showing, due to his sweatpants hanging around the waist lowly.
"it's fine," he chuckled opening the door for me, "come in," i smiled softly and entered the apartment. a small hallway with a regular sized room at the end lay before me. about three doorways led off from the hall. i wrinkled my nose as i passed a laundry basket.
boys stink.
"so, it's a two bedroom apartment, there's a full bathroom, kitchen, living room, uh..." ashton ran his fingers through his hair. "so just tell me about yourself,"
i blinked. "my name is lauren, i'm twenty-one, i graduated from a community college- i had a job at a staples but then it closed down, and i haven't been able to find a suitable job since," i spoke as he led me through the living room into the kitchen.
"i was evicted from my apartment, it should've happened earlier, but i was given more time. i needed a place to stay right away, and then i overheard you and..." i shrugged. ashton nodded, motioning for me to take a seat.
"drink?" i nodded. "are you in a relationship?" he asked, and i shook my head.
"no, how does my relationship status relate to this?" i asked, taking a seat as he handed me some water,
"just wondering," he said, "i'm guessing you wouldn't pay?"
shamefully i nodded. "but i'll help out, i can wash the dishes, make meals, do the much needed laundry," i added, "i won't bother you at all,"
he nods. "fine, you can move in,"
"great! thanks ashton!" i took a sip of my drink, that wasn't so bad, was it?
"call me daddy," i spat out my drink.
"what the fuck?"
aieeeeee, yep
