The alarm blares in my ear signaling me to wake up. I slowly roll out of bed. I would much rather be a coward and hide in my room all day doing nothing but I have school and I can't miss it today. I have a big class presentation. My mom is already yelling at...7 in the morning? This isn't going to be a good day I guess. I throw on my school clothes and enter my kitchen. My mother glares at me threatening me if I dare say anything to upset her. I just keep quiet. I can't even find motivation to eat breakfast, I know afterwards I'll just feel fat and even more worthless.
Now it's second period presentation time. I'm so nervous I feel like I might throw up. I walk to the front of the class and see Lizzy and her clique. Even when I look away I feel their eyes burning into me. As I start talking they laugh at me. The almost non existent teacher doesn't notice. Or maybe she does notice and simply doesn't care.
The bell rings at the end of class just as I finish my presentation. Everyone floods out the room and I'm left to pick up my things. Holding my cardboard project, bag, and my other bag for athletics I back out of the room. Waiting for me is Lizzy, with Aaliyah, and Jessy. Aaliyah shoves me to the floor and my stuff flies across the floor. My back slams against the wall and pain travels through my spine. "Who do you think you are?" Says Lizzy, the clique leader.
"What was that for!" I cough out.
"Well you obviously are getting too proud of yourself in front of class. You are just a bitch who doesn't deserve attention. You will always be that ugly girl from school. Nothing more." And with that they all walk away. Jessy also kicking my bag further away.
