The shot had rang through the hot summer air and rang in Luke's ears. A searing pain ran across a small spot on his arm and he saw that he had been nicked by the bullet. The target, however, had fallen right onto the table and sent the comics to the floor along with the body.

The fresh books had new cover art now, the blood more realistic than ever before. In fact the entire page was red from the hole in Jacob's head.

Marcel screamed, surprised with the emotion he was feeling towards someone that had grown so familiarly close to him- probably because he seemed to be a complete replica of his little brother.

His little brother, the one that had been kidnapped, was now rushing towards him in the first of the vehicles in front of them. Jonathan had a sniper rifle in his hand, now lowered, grim look on his face.

The rush of feet came from nearby as more of their men came to support them, some looking at Jacob's body, others tending to the small gash on Luke's arm.

The army of blue versus the army of red.

And one traitor.

Or two.

Luke quickly waved off the medical team from his arm as soon as he was wrapped up and immediately gave orders to get the weapons ready, some of the nearby buildings revealing their own personal, man slaughtering vehicles to fight the bulls charging their way.

Or suppose now, they were the bulls charging for the red flags in front of them. As the truck came up, shots were suddenly fired, but not at Marcel or Luke. The truck went right around them, Jonathan's electric blue eyes sending chills down their spines as he glanced for what seemed forever as he fired at their team and suddenly vanished in a dust trail around them.

As for the two red sports cars heading in their direction, they were immediately blown by incoming rockets, though a few of the men had ditched the vehicle beforehand.

Now there were men on ground fighting around Marcel and Luke, but they had their eyes on what was important. The truck had made a U-turn in their direction and Jonathan stood atop with the rifle at ready, aimed directly at the two.

"Sir, do we take the shot?" One of the men on the ground with a rocket voiced in on the earpiece of Luke's and he flinched, hesitating on the reply.

"N...no..."

"Sir, he has the rifle aimed at you. Are you sure we don't take the shot?"

"I'm sure. Hold on, he won't...he won't shoot us."

"Sir, the safety was-"

"I said no."

"He's pulling the trig-"

"No!" Luke yelled, watching in surprise as a familiar red coated man came up behind Jonathan and grabbed him around the waist, jumping with him off the truck as the shot aimed at Luke went up instead and the truck was suddenly blown off just in front of them, flying overhead.

Marcel was finally snapped out of his trancing fear when the truck above had crashed behind them, the flames intensely hot, adding to the already blistering sunlight. Most of their men had been okay, a lot of the Cruors dead on the ground or had their hands zip-tied behind them.

Marcel, however, looked around wildly for the one he needed answers from. And just like that, two red coats appeared from the dust and flames.

"Evan! You're alive! And...is that..."

"Yes, it's Jonathan," Evan confirmed as they walked up, Jonathan covered head to toe in dirt and blood, his red jacket giving him an almost unnerving look.

Marcel and Luke turned to each other for a moment before looking to Evan for answers, though he only shook his head and sighed.

"There's a lot to explain," the Asian answered, rubbing the back of his neck. "I think it's better if we do it inside...after we clean up..."

"But Ev-"

"I'm serious, Marcel. There is a lot to explain." Evan gave him a stubborn, grim look and the older man could only sigh and nod.

"Fine, inside after we clean up. You better have answers for me, though."

"I will. And so does Jon."

"And get that red jacket off of him...it's just not right..."

----

"Did they get in?" Rachel asked, staring over her father's shoulder at the camera's, most of them gone except for one.

"Well, Jonathan got in. The others can be replaced. All we need now is a distraction...and another body...I think they at least owe it to me."

"Of course," she cooed. "I say you take out him," she added, smiling as she pointed to one of the older brothers walking inside with Jonathan and Evan.

"Interesting choice...alright. You get your wish along with mine. He'll be a dead man, and Jonathan, well, he can suffer with that consequence."
