Today is my eighteenth birth day. Yay! Note the sarcasm. I hate my birth day, it just reminds me of how long I've been rouge.Fourteen years since I've been a rouge, and I absolutely hate it with a passion.
Dark grey clouds fill the blue void. Making it look like the Sky-Elders will pour their fury.
Thunder strikes in the distance, announcing the Sky-Elders arrival. Water droplets fall from the clouds.
Soon, the light sprinkle turns into a down pour. Making it an even more depressing day.
I heard a constant beating noise in the distance. A train, I remembered the name from a human a couple months ago, who saw me and gave me some meat.
I smiled at the memory, but then it quickly turned into a frown as I stepped on the train tracks.
I walk along the train tracks, hoping a train would come and run me over. Just my luck, nothing comes.
The rain messes with my senses, making it hard to hear and smell. All the smells are either disappearing, or mushing together. So if Iwas to be hunted, I'd probably not know about it. And the predator could easily bring me down because of my depressing, just wanting to die, mood.
My stomach growls in hunger, making me think of the last time I ate.
Two weeks ago.
I haven't eaten in two weeks!
My ears droop down even farther, my bright green eyes, turning a shade darker in sadness.
I strain my nose to catch any scent of prey I could hunt in the distance.
Nothing. Not even a bird or rat.
My paws hurt, I'm hungry, and it's raining. Can this get any worse?
A twig snaps to my right. My ears perk in panic, and I lift my head to see what had made the noise.
A human stood their looking at me in a way I could not understand.
I must look like a deer caught I head lights.
The man takes another step, away from the broken train car I didn't notice before, "Mine!" He says, just enough for me to hear.
With that word lingering in the air, I take off at the speed of light.
