I looked confusedly up to the wolf, slightly bowing my head to the left.

He shrugged my confused glare off, and got up, only to pick me up by my scruff.

I shook my neck, well, tried to. This only made him growl, and start walking in the direction we came.

I whined, playing a card I hadn't used in awhile.

"Why are you crying?" He asked me, looking down at my dangling form.

I ignored his question and turned my head so he couldn't see it.

"Really, you're going to play the silent treatment?" He asked more to himself. I rolled my eyes, but put my gaze down at my tail.

Oh goddess, my tail! I whined again, but then growled as he stepped on it. I growled louder when he stepped on it again.

"Stop it, Bambi. He's just trying to get to your head." I thought, bringing my tail up, away from the ground.

He rolled his eyes at me, then turned his wall, into a trot. Making me go bouncing up and down painfully.

Finally, I snapped. "Oh. My. Goddess." I said through clenched teeth. "Would you quit it for the love of the Sky-Elders!"

He smirked, which soon turned into a confused gaze. "What's the Sky-Elders?" He asked me.

"Who," I responded, looking away again.

He growled annoyed, getting fed up with my stubborn personality.

"Fine," He let out a breath to calm himself, "Who, are the Sky-Elders?" He said, emphasizing the word, Who.

"The Sky-Elders are the ones who keep us safe, they live in the blue void known as the sky," I said, remembering learning this from my old Alpha.

"What's so great about them?" He asked.

"I don't know," I sighed, "I think they are a bunch of dump rumps." I looked up into the sky, mentally cursing the Sky-Elders for ruining my life.

"Why?" He asked, truly interested.

"Because they ruined my life," I said, telling a white lie.

"How?" he asked.

"He's getting annoying," I thought, but responded with, "None of your business."

"Come on," he said, looking down at my small, compared to his, body. "I'm your mate, ya have to tell me."

"I'm nobodies mate." I said, trying to get a comfortable spot in his jaws.

"Alright," he sighed, dropping the subject. "What's your name?"

"Bambi," I whispered.

"Beautiful," he whispered so quietly, I barely heard it. "My names Payton."
