I must have fallen asleep, 'cause next thing I know, I wake up next to Payton's white and grey pelt, his tail around me protectively.

I got up, and walked a few feet away from the male, and stretched. My scruff hurt and my muscles were sore.

I looked around, noticing we were in the broken down train car I saw the man in yesterday, making me worried he would hunt me down, and oddly worried for the male who kidnapped me.

I saw the exit, behind the male, and the opposite wall of me.

I growled under my breath, cursing myself for walking this way and not the other.

I swiftly, but quietly, sneaked around the huge male, and towards the exit. When my paws hit the dirt, I sprint like my life depended on it, which it kind of did in my perspective.

I ran and ran, until I deemed it safe enough to rest for awhile. Me being the paranoid one, looked for a decent tree.

I found a tree, "Just my style," I thought as I back up a few feet, then ran and jumped up the tree a couple branches so I was a good ten to fifteen feet off the ground.

I heard a howl in the distance. Payton's howl. It was full of sadness yet anger. I wanted to howl back, but he would just come and bring me back... Again.

I waited a few minutes until I thought the male would not come and find me. I laid down and rested my muzzle on my front paws. The most comfortable position I could get in a tree.

I closed my eyes, and soon fell asleep.
