Wrist Timer

Hi my name is Tyler, everyone is born with sorta a clock on their wrist counting down until the moment you meet your soulmate. Some meet theirs at a young age but others it takes much longer.

I'm 18 and I haven't met mine yet. And I couldn't care less the gender, I'm Pansexual so whatever works for me (Sorry kinda doing the Pansexual for myself, don't see many people like me so)   But I know they would be beautiful and caring.

I'm currently in the store stacking up on food, I glance down at my wrist where my timer is. What shocked me was the number, 00|00|10|06, oh my god 10 minutes left I didn't think this'll happen so quickly.

I decide to ignore it for now, it's fate that you run into them so I'm not gonna go around looking for people. I look down again, 00|00|03|17 I smile to myself thinking, 'only a few more minutes' I couldn't help myself but to glance around me a few times, I shrug and start to walk to the self checkout, I don't like interacting with people if I don't need to.

As I'm scanning the last item the thing calls for assistance. I groan and look down at my timer 00|00|00|30 oh my god. With a few seconds left I hear footsteps behind me. I watch the timer closely, as it hits 0 the timer starts to glow, I  hear the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.

"Here let me fix that for you." I turn around and blush before nodding and stepping back a little, he smirked at me after looking down on his seeing the glowing on mine.

"Hi my names Josh, and you?" He smiled at me, I blushed again I love his smiles

"T-Tyler, you're beautiful by the way." I say the last part quieter looking down slightly, I hear him chuckle before I feel his first two fingers under my chin bringing me to face him. He smirked as I blushed again before leaning in ever so slightly asking permission, I nodded and met him halfway.

I felt literal fireworks not just sparks, after a couple of minutes we pull away due to the fact of humans needing to breath. I smile at him and pull him close into a hug.

"I'm so glad I found you" I whispered into his ear
