I arrived at Monster High. Oh, I just loved that school! At first, everyone freaked out because I was famous but now, I felt like a normal ghoul. I had friends and fun every time I went to Monster High.
"Hey ghoul! I haven't seen you in forever because of that tour with Pharaoh! Did you enjoy yourself?" my friend, Clawdeen Wolf, smiled. Some of my other ghoulfriends were with her.
Frankie Stein grinned, "I hope you had fun!"
"What was it like? Oh my ghoul, did you get to wear pretty outfits and nice shoes? We're any cute boys in the audience? Did any romantic moments happen with you and Pharaoh? Which song is your favorite that you sang? Oh, I just have so many questions to ask you!" Draculaura squealed.
"Hey mate," Lagoona smiled, "Did ya have fun?"
"Hope you had good time," Abbey Bominable gleamed, "Was there yacks by a chance?"
"Oh, you're back. Aren't you glad to be basking in my presence?" Cleo De Nile was a little bit stuck-up but she didn't mean it. Ghoulia Yelps moaned something I couldn't understand so I just smiled and nodded. They all stared at me. I loved my ghoulfriends and all but this was overwhelming. They were probably asking me all of those questions because I was gone all of last year and they haven't seen me in a while.
"Um, well, Clawdeen, I did enjoy myself. Yeah Frankie, I had lots of fun! Draculaura, you asked me so many questions. I'll try to remember them all," I sighed.
Draculaura gushed, "Oh, don't worry about it, ghoul! You don't need to actually answer those questions. We're just all excited to see you again!"
I nodded, "Ghouls, I'm excited to see you all as well but I just miss Pharaoh so much."
"Oh don't worry, mate! One time, Gil was sent away to another school and I missed him dreadfully! Eventually, he came back and we were together again! It'll all be fine," Lagoona comforted.
"I'm just worried though," I admitted, "What if he finds another ghoulfriend or something? What if he forgets me?"
Clawdeen told me, "If he's worth it, then he won't abandon you like that. If he's not then, it's possible that it could happen. But don't worry, Catty, he seems like he's worth it. Just don't worry, ghoulfriend." I couldn't stop worrying though! What if it turned out that he wasn't worth it? Pharaoh was smarter than that though. I just knew that he was.
In class, my friend, Invisi Billy, said hello to me and welcomed me back.
"Thank you, Invisi Billy. I'm glad to be back," I said. But I'd rather be with Pharaoh than anything, I thought. I sighed to myself.
My friend asked me, "What's wrong, Catty?"
"Oh, uh, nothing. Nothing at all," I lied.
"Are you sure? Cause you don't seem so sure."
"Yes, I'm very sure of myself," I lied again. I missed Pharaoh but I sure didn't want everyone at school to know about it. I tried to pay attention to what Mr. Rotter was saying.
"We are back at school. Welcome students! Today we will be learning some very useful information," he announced. Ugh, I just could not focus! Pharaoh was clogging up my brain. I missed singing with him so much. I wondered what it was like for him at The Nile River High.
"Hey ghoul, wanna sit with us?" my friend, Twyla, asked me. She was sitting with Howleen Wolf (Clawdeen's little sister), Invisi Billy, and Scarah Screams, and some friend of Howleen I didn't know. Scarah was Invisi Billy's ghoulfriend.
Oh no, I thought, She can read my mind! She'll know how much I miss Pharaoh. Oh my ghoul, I'm so dumb! Why did I just think that if I know she can read my mind?
"It's alright," she whispered, "Catty, you're secret is safe with me."
"It's not really a secret but it's just that I don't want everyone to know about that because it's sort of silly about how I miss him. I know I'll see him again but I just miss him for now," I replied. She nodded and continued eating her food. I had a bagel and scream cheese. I've always been a little bit annoyed about how much the cheese would scream and the sound of that.
"So, what was it like being on a tour like that?" Twyla asked.
"It was the most clawsome experience of my life! The best part about it was that I got to spend the tour with Pharaoh," I smiled.
"Who's this Pharaoh you speak of?" asked Twyla. I forgot that she didn't keep up with famous celebrities.
"Only one of my favorite rappers ever!" Howleen gasped, "Catty is his ghoulfriend! Oh, I wanna be someone's ghoulfriend! How about Romulus? Should I go ask him out?"
"No Howleen, not at all!" her friend told her.
"But Lothar, I really like him! It's been a while since, you know, that one time?" Howleen told him. I tuned them out. They just started talking about this Romulus manster that I didn't really care about at all. I looked through all of the photos I had on my Icoffin of Pharaoh and I. The photos of us made me really happy. Even though I wasn't with him, I felt like those moments were coming back to life. I remember laughing with him and singing with him. I remember just being with him.
Maybe I was taking that way too seriously. Maybe I was being too dramatic. I'd try to relax and forget about Pharaoh until the summertime when I'd be able to see him.
Plus, I had so many things to look forward to. I had so many senior field trips with my friends, I had many senior events, and I had my high school graduation. I hoped that my family would actually show up.
I would probably have more fun if Pharaoh wasn't on my mind 24/7.
