Nephthys walked with me to The Nile River High School.
"I have lots of friends here. You're gonna fit right in with us!" she gleamed.
It'll probably be nice and all but nothing like the time I spent with Catty, I thought.
"Pharaoh? Um, I asked you a question," I heard Nephthys say.
"Oh, I'm very sorry," I replied, "What was the question?"
She told me, "I was asking you if you were excited for your first day at The Nile River High."
"Oh yes I totally am!" I wasn't though. I just wanted to be with Catty at the moment. I wanted to be with her forever.
I knew that I wouldn't have to worry about anyone freaking out about me at school because none of them listened to my kind of music. I bet that none of them would even know that I was famous.
I was wrong. There was a whole group of ghouls who immediately swarmed over me as I walked into the ancient building.
"Pharaoh! Be my boofriend, please!" one of them screamed.
Another hollered, "I am gonna make you love me!"
"Do any of you even know that I already have a ghoulfriend?" I shouted at them. They all began to cry and run away. I thought that was the end of all of the fanghouls but no. There were more of them throughout the day. Every single time I thought I was alone, another ghoul popped out from the middle of nowhere. At lunch, I thought that Nephthys was one of them at first.
"Just leave me alone!" I lashed out.
"Um, Pharaoh, don't worry it's just me," she nervously smiled.
"Oh", I said, "I'm sorry. I thought you were another fanghoul." Well I feel pretty dumb, I thought to myself.
Nephthys laughed, "Oh, it's fine. I was guessing that all these ghouls would fanghoul over you. They were talking about how much they wanted to meet you. I always knew you became famous, dude, because of them."
"So where are your friends that you told me about?" I questioned.
"Right here," she grinned as a ghoul and a manster came in. "Pharaoh, this is Iris and Osiris. They're twins. We're all best friends."
"Hey there!" Osiris grinned.
Iris told me, "Neph has told us a lot about you."
"Okay fine, they're my only friends. Honestly, we're not exactly popular," Nephtys sighed.
I replied, "I don't care if you're not popular. You're really nice to me and a great friend. I bet your friends are nice too."
"We always have lots of fun," chimed Osiris, "Welcome to the group!" I wished that Catty were in the group as well.
"Thank you for your warm welcoming," I smiled.
"Hey Pharaoh, wanna rap for us?" Iris asked.
"I'd love to but it wouldn't be the same without, uh, someone," I looked down at my lunch. That someone is Catty. My dear sweet Catty, I thought.
     "Who's this someone?" asked Osiris.
"Uh," I blushed, "She's my ghoulfriend." I couldn't help but smile. Talking about Catty somehow made me feel a little bit connected to her.
Iris beamed, "Ooh, I just love love! So what's her name?"
Before I could answer, Nepthys chimed in, "Catty Noir. Can you believe it? Pharaoh is dating the Catty Noir!"
"Omg!" Iris seemed fascinated.
"Catty who?" Osiris was confused.
"She's only our most favorite singer and superstar of all time!" both ghouls sang at the same time. I smiled to myself. Just hearing them talk about her made me happy.
Osiris asked me, "Dude, who's this Catty Noir? She's famous? I haven't ever heard of her in my whole un-life!"
"Like they said, she's famous. But she's so much more than just a famous superstar," I felt myself smiling so wide, "She's the most amazing ghoul I've ever met. She's so sweet and caring towards me, her fans, and everyone else around her. I really understand her and she truly understands me, too. Catty has the voice of an angel and I love performing with her. Every time I hear her voice, I feel like she is taking me to a whole other world. A world where we are together all the time just forever. It's truly amazing."
     "Wow," Iris' eyes were wide.
     Osiris laughed, "That was long."
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I just got carried away. That happens when I talk about my ghoulfriend," I told both of the twins.
In class after lunch, we learned about the old Egyptian ways. I already knew about all of that though. I tried to stop myself from being bored and daydreaming of Catty but that was really no use.
I wrote down a little rap in my head onto paper,

Catty Noir, she's the ghoul I love
Catty Noir, is precious like a dove
     Whenever someone sees her
     They always wanna meet her
     Girls wanna be her
And the boys wanna be with her
     But they can't have her
     Cuz she has my heart
     When she sings to me
Her voice is a work of art
     Butterflies in my stomach
     Feeling archived
     When she's not around
Because I don't feel that alive

     I sighed to myself.
"What are you writing, Seth? This doesn't look like class work!" the angry, ancient teacher fussed. "I expect you to pay attention in class instead of doodling."
"Hey, I'm not doodling! I am confessing my love towards my ghoulfriend!" I shouted.
"Don't you sass me! And also, I don't care about you or your little ghoulfriend. I only care about if you're actually paying attention to what I am trying to teach the whole class here. Everyone else wants to learn so stop keeping up this trouble or you are going to find yourself in detention!" She walked away angrily. Ouch. I did not want to go to detention of any sort.
I was just innocently writing a little rap about my true love! There was no harm there and nothing was wrong with that. I already knew everything the teacher was teaching anyway.
