Chapter 10

'Hurry up Niall! We're gonna be late for class!" Josh shouted from behind the bathroom door.

"Well it's your fault! You never reset the alarm after you changed it last night," Niall shouted back, forcing his legs into a pair of skinny jeans.

"It's your fault! You should've reminded me!" Josh said leaving the bathroom, letting Niall enter. "Stupid Justin didn't even bother waking us up,' Niall said, fixing his hair. "The cheek of him! We would of woken him up!" Justin just looked at me.

"No we wouldn't have," Niall nodded my head in agreement.

"Yeah I know but still it's the principle of the matter,' Niall said seriously, nodding his head, causing Josh to snort. It had been about 3 weeks since the shop run in with Zayn and Harry. Zayn hadn't bothered Niall too much in the last 3 weeks just a few winks, which he could live with. On the Brightside, they get their mid-term break today. Which means Halloween next Thursday! He'd be lying if he said he wasn't excited. He was staying in London and his family and the boys were coming up to visit him here. Why they won't let him go to them he didn't know. Maura and Greg would be coming Sunday and going home Wednesday, whereas Darragh, Dylan and Sean will be coming Wednesday and leaving Saturday. Niall didn't think his mammy will like the fact him and Jake are dating again. Especially after what happened last time. But he thinks she'll come around eventually. 'C'mon Niall! If we don't leave we'll be late for music and people need to perform the assignment today," Josh said.

"Crap! I forgot about the assignment! We better hurry!" Josh nodded in agreement.

"Let's go then!" He replied, the two of them racing out, the door banging shut behind them.

"Ahh Mr. Horan, Mr. Devine. Just in time. I thought I'd have to mark you boys as late," Mr. Cowell said, closing the door behind them.

"Sorry sir, we slept it," Niall explained taking a seat beside Jake, him greeting Niall with a kiss on the cheek and a hushed "hey babe", as Josh took his seat behind the drums.

"Just make sure it doesn't happen again boys," Mr. Cowell said taking a seat at the front of class. "Right class, time to perform your songs. This week's theme is Bruno Mars. You have already picked the song you will be performing today, last week out of the hat. The half of you who didn't perform last week are performing today and after the mid-term you'll be performing a theme that will picked out of the hat at the end of the class. You will have 2 weeks to practice and perfect the song. First up is Louis Tomlinson singing Grenade," the class applauded as Louis stood at the top of class. As the applause eased off he began to sing. Listening to Louis sing is magical. His voice is like.... golden syrup and honey. So sweet and yummy. He finished the song and the class one again erupted into applause. He cheeks turned a light shade of pink as he returned to his seat. Other people got up to sing and soon enough Jake was called. Niall kissed him on the cheek and whispered good luck as he smirked at Niall and walked to the front of the class. His song of the week was Gorilla.

He sang the song sending little winks in Niall's direction every now again. The entire room was laughing and clapping. Niall sat there frozen in shock. Eyes wide and mouth open. Did he really just sing that? Niall knew that if you pick it out you have to sing it but still. Were the winks really necessary? A laughing Josh sat down beside Niall as Jake was following Mr. Cowell to his office. Niall glanced around the room to see the only person not full on laughing was Zayn. He was looking directly at me, an amused smile on his face.

"Gorilla, Niall? Really? Never took you for liking it rough," he shouted across the room to Niall, causing the class to laugh harder. Niall buried his head and into his hands and lay them on the table. Only then did I hear Zayn's laugh. Instead of looking up, he removed a hand and showed Zayn his middle finger.
