Avoid

North tried to avoid Jude. He really did, and he was doing a pretty good job at it... until he remembered that he and Jude had a project together. North thought about skipping. That would solve the problem, he thought as he sat down beside Jude to work on the assignment. 

"North, look I don't -" Jude said immediately as he leaned closer into North's space before he was cut off. 

"So we're almost done this, lets just focus on this," North said to his paper. Maybe he shouldn't have cut off Jude. Let him finish. Maybe North was over reacting, it wasn't like they were boyfriends. 

"No North we need to talk, I mean I don't even know why you're ignoring me," Jude persisted. North sighed. He looked over at Jude through his eyelashes. Why was he had he gone and messed this up. North didn't even know where that thought was directed. Maybe to himself, or maybe to Jude, he didn't know. 

"Look, we will talk about it, I promise, but we have to work on this or ms. stick-up-her-ass will actually set fire to your perfectly styled hair and we both know that, so... after school," North conceited with a small smile, something that Jude reciprocated on a larger scale... and much goofier. 

"Perfectly styled hair, huh?" Jude smiled at North. North's face flushed.

"That's what you got out of that? Oh god," North said with an eye roll before they actually started working, although both had the thought of what might happen after school in the front of their minds.
