Dear Ms. Alchemy Jones;

I have successfully received all of your well-awaited research and it has granted me complete access to fully understand the function of a mundane human body. With the serum completed and under the protection of the SSR, we are only waiting a few extra weeks so that our candidates can train and be successful. Project Rebirth is going according to plan.

You will be pleased to hear that Steven Grant Rogers has been granted acceptance into the program and has been training alongside Colonel Chester Phillips and Agent Margaret Carter. As much as you believe in him, I am afraid he hasn't met the expectations of the physical tests. Nevertheless, you were right about Mr. Rogers, he has 'a lot of heart' and has been able to complete tasks with determination despite his smaller status.

Until we meet again, I cannot wait to personally thank you for all that you have done for the SSR. Everyone else on the team has not done nearly as much as you have. Take care of yourself until then.

Sincerely,
Dr. Abraham Erskine

Ally folded the letter and piled it on top of the others she had received from Steve, Kepler, Nico and her parents. She settled the pile of letters on her desk and placed a book over them for protection. She knew that she'd have to tell Steve, especially if he was chosen for Project Rebirth. Bits and pieces of her hoped he would be chosen, he seemed to be the only one worthy enough since his heart was made of gold.

Other nurses lucky enough to be given a leave scurried around the medical tent, trying to finish their rounds. Ally had finished her rounds an hour ago, soldiers from the frontlines returned from an unexpected ambush earlier that day and alongside them was Peter Dunn. Despite his disgusting and rather sad personality, Ally tried her hardest to aid him back to life. He had been shot in the shoulder and with patience and time, the bullet was removed and Ally became Peter's hero.

Her fingernails had blood clotted underneath them and no matter how hard she scrubbed, it was stained to her skin. Quaker returned from the frontlines as well, unharmed but certainly traumatized. It was Ally's first instinct to hug the younger boy and make sure he had nothing wrong with him, not even a small bruise.

There was something about Quaker that was so likeable. He was likeable to the point in which Ally set him up with her fellow doctor, Ruthie Murray. Although, she was also working as an undercover nurse so he didn't know any better.

She bid the nurses staying behind and working the nightshift goodnight and wandered to her shared tent with William and Jojo. They had been here and there, collecting Ally's research and then shipping it out back to Brooklyn. Ally hadn't bothered to tell Jojo that she was Bucky's date because Jojo would probably have some kind of a heart attack.

Instead, she simply slid out of her uniform and dressed in an easy but charming peach coloured dress. She didn't want it to look like she was trying too hard even though she definitely was. It was the one dress she had brought from home that was fancier than her others. It was also a hand-me-down from Jojo but the silver necklace she had added was a touch of her own.

"You look beautiful," Jojo said from behind Ally. "You look a lot like me in that dress."

Ally smiled faintly, turning around to face her older sister. She was still a little shaken from the earlier events. "It's a beautiful dress Jojo, truly it is."

"It looks better on you than it did on me," she admitted, carefully helping Ally with the zipper. "Did you read the letter from Nico?"

"I did!" Ally grinned. "He finally got a girlfriend, I'm so proud."
