My dearest Ally,

Your conclusion was correct and I am not dead. I made it out of the bombings alive and unharmed, so did Quincy and Peter. Colonel Moriarty told me to tell you that he wishes he could of said goodbye but was satisfied knowing you made it out alright. The people at Invicta miss you Ally, but I think it's safe to say that I miss you the most. I'm glad you left when you did because I can truly say that I can't think of a life without my best girl.

I'm being shipped out to Azzano, Italy soon. Please inform your mother that her attempt to teach me Italian failed horribly and I won't know a damn word. Maybe I'll eat a real Italian pizza in Italy if all goes well but things aren't looking good out there. Please don't be scared, I'm coming home no matter what. I haven't changed my mind about marrying you doll, it's sorta been my dream since I was nineteen.

I know you've got a big family so it'll be a big wedding but I gotta propose first Alchemy. I mean if you wanted to marry me that bad you shouldn't have waited so long to tell me! I'm kidding sweetheart but it'll happen, I promise. Quincy says that he wants to try your mother's pizza and Peter says he wouldn't mind playing a game of chess with your old man again. Only you can make a dumbass like Peter decent.
They both miss you a lot and can't wait to see you again.

When I get back, we'll talk but until then, I hope to see a letter from you soon.

The one and only,
Sargent James Barnes

Ally folded the letter and hugged it to her chest. Her nose had engulfed the delicate scent of pine and her brain flooded with pictures of him. Bucky Barnes smelt of pine, cheap drugstore cologne and the dust he would always forget to sweep. She thought of his blue eyes gleaming with laughter and his silly smirk and the way he called her doll. She had zoned out for quite awhile, thinking of him with the occasional fleeting memories. She wasn't going to cry but she did feel an ache in her heart.

She missed him.

Dear Bucky,

For the record, I did not wait that long. I was seventeen! How was I supposed to know that I'd fall madly in love with Brooklyn's very own James Buchanan Barnes? Maybe I did fall for you the first time you and Steve took me to Coney Island but I was not planning our wedding in a cheap notebook. (Don't look under my bed or you'll find all the photos I took of you while you were asleep back in '37).

I'm glad that you are safe, what would I do without my partner in crime? I read lots about Azzano, Italy in the paper. You can't tell me not to be afraid. Nazi forces have taken over most of that town and they expect you to fight all of them? We live in such a cruel place. Surely, that isn't what you want to hear. I'm sorry, I'm panicking.

Tell Peter that my father would love to see him again and that my mama would love to make Quincy one of her pizzas. Send my love to both of them.  My conclusions are always right so therefore, I am concluding that you and everyone else in the 107th will be fine in Azzano. My future fiancé is a soldier and your future fiancé is waiting at home for her soldier to return from war.

Please write back as soon as you can.

I love you,
Ally Jones

She pulled herself together and stood up from her spot on the ground. With the courageous feeling of euphoria going through her veins, she took the vial of blood she had stolen from Steve Rogers and snuck into Erskine's lab.

It wasn't easy getting his blood. While Steve had managed to stop the HYDRA agent from escaping, the last of Erskine's super serum was lost..or so everyone thought. All of Erskine's side doctors and scientists tried to see if they could clone the serum by taking Steve's blood but it seemed to be a dead end.
