Namji
I looked over at him and I could tell he was sleeping. Look, I know he's rude but still, I can't help but help him. I ripped a sheet out of my notebook and copied he notes I had for him. I don't care if he doesn't want me to help. I'm gonna do it anyway. I wrote notes for him for the rest of the class period. They weren't crazy hard notes to write so it wasn't a problem. As soon as the bell rung, I tried to hand him the notes but he was already out the door. I saw him walk to his locker and I followed him, careful not to bump into anyone again.
"Jooheon!" I said slowing down as I approached him.
"What is it?" He asked digging through his locker.
"Well you fell asleep in class so I wrote the notes down for you." I smiled and held out the notes.
"Thanks.." He said before slowly taking them.
"No problem." I smiled again and rushed off.
It was lunch time so I went straight to the cafeteria. There were different lines for different foods. I don't really have a food preference so I just went into a random one. They were serving watermelon, fried rice, soup, and salad. I grabbed my lunch tray and went out the line. I paid for my food and sat at a table in the corner. I started eating my soup and looked around. There were people talking to one another, occasionally throwing food at someone. I smiled and looked down at my tray and ate a spoonful of rice. I looked up and almost jumped out of my skin when I saw Jooheon sitting in front of me.
"Jesus Jooheon, you scared me." I said touching my heart.
"Sorry. Just thought I'd sit with you since you looked lonely." He shrugged.
"Oh well thanks" I smiled and grabbed my watermelon.
"Thank you" He said and took my watermelon.
"Ya! Give that back!" I said reaching for it.
He held it above his head and I stood up to reach for but I accidentally knocked it out of his hand. I watched it fall to the flood of the cafeteria.
"Jooheon!~" I pouted and sat back down.
He started laughing and I smiled. His laugh is so cute. I couldn't believe it. His head was tilted back as he was catching his breath. I never thought I'd hear his laugh but I'm glad I did. I could tell his dimples were the deepest since I've seen them. He caught his breath and finally sat up straight.
"I'm sorry about that Namji. I'll get you another one." He said getting up still laughing a little.
"No no, it's fine." I grabbed his jacket before he could walk away.
"Ok if you say so." He said sitting down and smiling.
"You're smiling." I said.
"Well you better take a picture because it's the last time you'll see this smile." He said chuckling.
"I'm pretty confident i can make you smile again. Don't worry." I said eating my soup.
"Whatever you say Namji. What class do you have next?" He asked leaning on the table.
"P.E." I said finishing my small salad.
"Lucky, I have Algebra. I hate math." He said taking my tray.
"Math is my best subject. I really don't like P.E." I said looking around.
"Well it's really not all that bad. All they do is play basketball while the girls go off and talk somewhere." He quickly finished my food.
"I'm not terrible at basketball. Maybe I can play."
"It doesn't matter if you're good. If you're the only girl on the court, they're going to go hard." He said throwing the empty tray into the trash.
