Jooheon
I don't know why I doubted her. She's my girlfriend now so I need to have some more faith in my lady. We walked to a cafe close to our school. We took a seat at a both as a waitress approached us.
"What can I get for you two today?" She smiled as she clicked her pen.
"Can I get the turkey sandwich and a mango bubble tea please?" I asked.
"Of course. And for you?" She asked turning towards Namji.
"I'll have the same thing but without the tapioca balls?"
"Of course. I'll be right back with your food and drinks." She smiled as she walked away.
"You don't like the tapioca balls?" I asked.
"Ew, no. I hate the way they burst in my mouth. They feel like eyeballs." She said as her face twisted with disgust.
"Wow ok. You are very descriptive..." I mumbled as I leaned back.
She giggled and leaned forward. We looked at each other, enjoying the silence and we stared into each other's eyes.
"Why do you like me so much?" I asked, breaking the silence.
"This is going to sound really cliche. But, it's because you're different. You've somehow drawn me to you. Why do you like me?" She responded.
"Because you're the first person - the first girl- to make me feel an emotion that wasn't anger. It was foreign to me but I liked it." I shrugged.
"I just wish my dad didn't have a problem with you." She sighed as the waitress came back with our food.
We thanked her as we began eating.
"I'm sure he'll warm up to me. He can't hate me forever, right?" I asked as I took a bite of my sandwich.
"I hope not." He replied.
I heard her phone go and she reached into her pocket to get it.
Namji
I took out my phone and saw that Hanja texted me. Why would she be texting me now? Even though I should be in class right now, she doesn't know that. I wipe off my hands and quickly open the text.
Kakao
Hanja
Hey!! I have a free period right now and I'm really bored. :((
Namji
Why are you texting me right now?? I could've been in class.
Wait you're not in class?! Namji, are you skipping???
Yeah with a friend
Oooh, let me see who it is. She better not replace me. >:(
I rolled my eyes at her ridiculousness. I scooted into the booth next to Jooheon.
"Hanja wants to see who you are. Smile for the camera." I said as I opened the camera and held the phone up.
I put up a peace sign and took the picture. I reopened our messages and send her the picture.
Kakao
Namji
His name is Jooheon
Hanja
Ooh, he's cute. Are you sure you two aren't dating??
No Han we're not dating -_-
I couldn't tell her just yet. She'd go crazy if she found out I got a boyfriend after my second day of school. It is pretty naive of me in the first place. Although, I don't regret it. I put my phone on silent and put it back in my pocket.
"Sorry about that. She's boy crazy." I smiled
"It's fine." He said, putting an arm around my shoulder
"You know, we're going to have to go on a real date sooner or later," I said looking up at him.
"It'll happen. I just have to figure out where to take you." He replied as he grabbed his drink and took a sip.
"Well, I like shopping. I like going to fun places like amusement parks and fairs. I like eating so any eating place is fine." I smiled and took a bite of my sandwich.
"Great to know." He mumbled as he continued to sip his drink.
I giggled and checked the time on my phone. It was currently 3:00 and we still have 45 minutes left of class until school is let out.
"How about after we finish eating, we go to a little shop so you can buy me something cute." I smiled and finished the rest of my bubble tea.
"Sure. Just go wherever you want and I'm right there with you." He said as he smiled down at me.
I blushed and looked down at my phone. I've honestly never felt this wanted by a guy before. Even though we had a rough start, he's turned into a completely different person.
