Chapter 5

Namji

We got to Milky Bee a short while after. I absolutely love their ice cream. They make it into a shape of a rose! With ice cream! I internally screamed as we entered the parlor. There was a long glass case containing all kinds of colors and flavors. I continued to swing our hands as we walked up to the counter.

"What would you lovely couple like today?" The woman asked with a smile.

"O-Oh we're not a couple." Jooheon stammered, completely flustered

"Yeah we're just friends.." I blushed as well

"Well you sure seem like it. Anyway, what can I get you two?" She shrugged

"Um can I have strawberry and white chocolate please?" I asked pointing to the two flavors.

"Sure and for you sir?" 

"Strawberry, white chocolate and mint chocolate chip." He smiled.

"What? That sounds like a horrible combination." I gawked at his horrible choice in flavors.

"Hey don't knock it 'til you try it. It's actually pretty good." He laughed as he payed.

We took a seat next to the big window in the front. I suggested a seat in the corner so we're not all in the open. But, he said he likes looking at the scenery while he eats. I smiled at the idea and went with his choice of seats. Our appetites are definitely going to be ruined after this ice cream. I don't really care. I wasn't going to eat with a family I barely know anyway. I smiled and licked my ice cream while looking out the window.

We were in perfect view of the park. I could see kids playing and their parents carefully watching. I can't wait to get married to someone. I can't wait to have a family of my own. It looks and sounds like a lot of fun. I know it's hard work. But all the love will definitely make up for it. I looked towards Jooheon and he was already looking at me. I smiled, he had the widest smile on his face.

"Do you want to taste it? Since you think it's so gross, I want to prove you wrong again today." He chuckled, sitting the cone in front of me.

I snorted and sit my cone down. I picked his up and hesitantly licked it. My eyes went wide at the sweet and savory flavor.

"Oh my gosh... This is actually really good!" I smiled as I kept licking.

"Ya! I paid for that for me!" He laughed and reached over the table to get it.

"No it's good! I want it!" I laughed and got up.

"Namji get back here!" He got up and ran after me as I ran out the door.

I ran around the park and laughed. I know eventually he'll catch up to me. I'm just going to have my fun for today. I licked the ice cream and continued running. He ran faster before scooping me up and taking the ice cream.

"Thank you." He said before sitting down on another bench.

I was sitting in his lap from when he picked me up and sat down. I pouted as he triumphantly ate the ice cream in front of me. Of course, I forgot my ice cream back at Milky Bee so they're probably going to throw it away, thinking I was finished with it.

He turned to me and saw the pout on my face as I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Fine we can share it." He sighed, handing me the almost finished cone.

"What? Why can't I just have the rest? There's barely any left now!" My pout more visible now.

"Hmm, maybe because I payed for it so I could eat it." He said in a 'matter of fact' tone.
