Namji

I woke up the next day, happy and refreshed. I glanced at my alarm clock and realized I woke up before it. I smiled and unplugged it before it could disturb my peace. I got out of bed and went into the bathroom. I didn't dare look up into my mirror and ruin my mood because of my face.

I know my hair was frizzy from me rolling in it all night. No matter how much sleep I get, I always have bags under my eyes the next morning. It's a vicious cycle that didn't plan of breaking any time soon.

I instantly grabbed my brush and brushed out my long hair. I've made moves to cut it but I'm always paranoid it'll look bad so I don't bother. I applied a little concealer to rid of those wretched dark circles and hopefully, the bags too. I looked up and smiled at my knowingly fixed face. I brushed my teeth, almost instantly regretting the decision as I'll be eating soon. I always seem to drink Orange juice after brushing my teeth and that's something dangerous to forget. I shook my head and walked out. I'll have to skip the Orange juice and just go for water. I put my uniform on and slipped on my shoes after the socks and went downstairs. There was a note on the fridge saying my mother and father left early for work and won't be back until late today. I frowned at this, not liking being home alone. The house is always quiet when my parents aren't home and it's boring. I don't like boring.

I signed and threw the note in the trash. I pulled out a couple eggs and scrambled them. I ate quickly and grabbed my bag before leaving and locking the door. I would never leave this early but I'm really craving coffee and we ran out yesterday. I walked around until I found a cozy little cafe on the corner.

I walked in and was bombarded by the sweet smell of caramel and chocolate. I smiled and went to the counter. I'm glad no one noticed me right away because I had no idea what I wanted. I looked over the menu and settled on Americano. I rung the bell sitting on the counter to catch the attention of someone. A couple minutes later, a girl came out, looking tired.

"Sorry, I'm the only one here and my boss also wanted me to stock the shelves. What would you like today?" She explained, sighing.

"It's fine. Can I get one cup of Americano with three shots of espresso?"

"Are you sure? It's going to be extremely bitter. If you want to wake up, I'd suggest a mocha. It keeps you awake and it's sweet."

"Sure. How much is that?" I asked taking out my wallet from my bag.

"₩4185 please."

I told her my name, paid for it and she put it in the register and started making it. I sat at a table next to the giant window and started thinking.

I've never liked someone this much. Especially not after one day. You can't really blame me though. He's so cute and adorable but he acts like he'd break your finger if you just look at him wrong.

Every other guy I've dated have always treated me like everyone else. It's nice to know he at least takes my feelings into consideration somewhat. It's something I'd love getting used to. He's honestly a great person. I don't understand why he's so mean to everyone else. I'm sure he'll tell me sooner or later.

"Namji!" She called out even though we were the only ones there. Force of habit I guess.

I got my drink with a smile and left. It was much later in the morning so I decided to slowly walk to school. I slipped my mocha and smiled. It had gotten warmer and the sun was out. Kids were walking into their school and laughing, without a care in the world. I signed in content and looked around.

Seoul is definitely more lively than Jeju. More people around the streets. I'd love to see the city at night.

I took another sip and almost choked as I felt someone hug me from behind. I yelped and elbowed them in the stomach. I heard a deep groans from behind me and turned around.
