Okay, so I couldn't wait two days to update. This by far is one of the longest chapters I've ever written. Thanks to all who voted though. I kinda did a little bit of both. Like the title says, this chapter is the start of a new era for the Cullen's and Perro's. As always, enjoy~
Bella's pov
"Whoa..." I mumbled putting my hand to my head, grasping it gently. I sat up only to fall back to forest floor in dizziness. "Bella!" I could faintly hear my name being called several times by different voices that all seemed seriously familiar. But I couldn't focus on that. If Edward was controlled..then so was Jasper! Whoever was trying to kill me influenced everyone around me! Jasper doesn't have a control problem, and if he drinks my blood he'll never be in pain again! No one in the Cullen family would have to suffer with the burning pain of thirst for human blood. My train of thought was broken when I felt cool hands gently shake my shoulders causing me to snap my eyes back to meet the frantic and concerned gaze of Alice. She let out a shaky breath and enveloped me in a unusually tight embrace and buried her face into the crook of my neck, her ebony spikes of hair tickling my nose. "oh Bella.." she breathed. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-" "Alice" I hushed. "I know, I understand. I'm not angry anymore." I soothed. She pulled back sharply, blinking twice in confusion.
"You're not?" I shook my head, worrying my lip between my teeth as I did so. I glanced behind Alice and gasped as I noticed two people who I never thought I'd see again, sitting around me with my pack. I could see the worried glint in their eyes as they moved to stand up and back away slightly. Maybe they feared that I'd be upset with them as well. I sent them a timid smile. "Hello Esme, hey Em." Esme gave me a warm, tender smile but did not move from her spot. "Hello dear, I have missed you so." I could hear the heart-clenching emotion in her voice as I noticed her eyes glaze over in tears that would never fall. I felt tears sting at my eyes and my throat tighten around a solid lump. I wordlessly opened my arms, silently begging for her motherly hug and without hesitation she sped to kneel in front of me as I wrapped my arms around her slender frame. I sniffled a little as a few tears fell and I looked up to see Emmett toeing the dirt his eyes glistening as well. "Get over here you teddy bear" I choked out with a watery smile. He snapped his gaze to me and my breath hitched at his face. "Em..." I whispered standing up starting to reach out my hand.
Alice and Esme stepped back watching us with a knowing glint in their eyes. He wrapped his arms tightly around himself, as if it was the only thing keeping him together and shook his head sharply. I was lost, I've never seen this side of him before. His usual childish demeanor was gone, alone a shell of what once used to be the happiest guy I knew. What happened to him?..I couldn't understand. "I-I thought.." he husked out, his voice was raw. Like he cried for days on end but I knew that wasn't possible for him. I lowered my hand to my side tilting my head to the side as my eyes watered again trying-searching for the terrible thing that could bring my bear of a friend down. He gripped himself tighter, almost completely drawn in from the world now. "I thought you were g-gone...my little sister-" His voice broke as he placed his pale hands over his face. I couldn't take it anymore. I briskly walked over to him and embraced him with everything I had. This time I knew he would feel it because I wasn't the fragile human that he had to restrain himself with. I was maybe an inch taller, and my muscles were full and toned. I'll be damned if I can't give him a hell of a hug now.
I felt the air leave his chest and the soft, muffled sound of stone rubbing against stone reach my ears. I attempted to let go of him, if only a little, but was stopped as he crushed me to his chest in a bout of desperation. I was uncomfortable and had problems breathing evenly, but I couldn't bring myself to stop it. I felt him shudder and shake against me as I moved my arms around his waist and back. I heard a soft growl from behind me then a shushing noise. I ignored it as I tightened my grip around him before lifting him up and quickly spinning him around as he used to do. He let out a startled yelp from the sudden speed, his arms flying about. I heard collective laughing float across the clearing. I couldn't help the laughter bubble out of me at the image of him in my arms flying around. "Bella!" He cried out and I set him down and watched him fall on his ass. I laughed again as Alice flitted to my side putting herself in my arms. Not that I minded. I eagerly welcomed her by putting a secure arm around her waist. I looked down to her seeing her eyes shine in delight. Thinking of my conversation before made me realize that Alice drank from me. I gasped and grabbed her face studying her eyes. "Bella?" She questioned wearily. "Whats-" "Shh just be still for a second" I commanded. "Just tell me-" "Alice!" I breathed finally noticing a shift of color in her topaz eyes. I know that if my eyes weren't more advanced than before, I would have never been able to see the brightest violet beginning to streak from her pupil into her iris. "God that's so beautiful.." I whispered rubbing the pad of my thumb across her cheek softly, lost in the pure beauty that was before me. She looked up at me with frustrated eyes, but I could see the underlying fear and shyness in the depths of her changing eyes. "Bella please..." she begged. I smiled softly at her "Your eyes Alice..God your eyes are changing and they are so beautiful. When you drank from me..my blood changed them. It changed you." I said still smiling softly, fondly at the little pixie in front me.
