The New York Mets. Blaine had finally made it. His dream to pitch on his favorite baseball team in the greatest city in the United States.

Blaine was wandering around and exploring the city, when he realized what time it was. He was about to be late for his first day of Spring Training. He quickly went to the closest taxi. When he got there someone opened the door.

  “Ahh, my coffee!”

Blaine looked up. The guy he was bumped into was beautiful.

“I’m so sorry. Here take this to buy another one,” Blaine offered some cash, considering he was the one to spill the guy’s coffee.

“No no. Keep it. I don’t need it anyway. It’s just a habit of my to always buy coffee on Mondays.”

“Alright. If you are sure.” Blaine couldn’t believe how beautiful this guy was. He wondered if he was gay as well. “I’m Blaine by the way.”

“Kurt,” he said with a smile. “Well I better get going. Don’t wanna be late for work.”

Kurt walked away before Blaine could say anything else. After staring at Kurt for a few more seconds, he realized he had to go. He got in the taxi and told the driver where to go.  They arrived at Citi Field within a few minutes. Blaine had just 3 minutes to change and get out on the field. The bad thing was, he didn’t know his way around the place very well yet. Great, just what I need he thought.

At least he somewhat remembered where the locker room was. If he got there, he wouldn’t be alone. He walked really fast to the locker and arrived with only 1 minute to get ready. Luckily he knows how to change really fast, and by the time he was done, he was the last one on the field.

“This season will be our season to win the World Series. I just know it,” Coach Gonzales started. “We got Blaine Anderson from University of Michigan. Excellent pitcher I might add. Glad he chose us.” The rest of the team clapped. “Now let’s practice.”

Throughout practice, Blaine really tried to throw his famous curveballs but he couldn’t. His mind just wasn’t there. He couldn’t stop thinking about Kurt. His eyes and the way he smiled…

“Anderson!” John Abrams, the catcher, shouted. Before Blaine could look at him, he got hit with a ball and fell over clutching his side.

“Anderson, are you okay,” everyone questioned as they rushed over to help.

“Yeah, I’m fine. Just zoned out for second,” he answered while standing up. He almost fell over again.

“We got to get you checked out,” Coach Gonzales said balancing him.  They walked to the team doctors to have them look. They lifted up his jersey and saw a giant bruise on his rib cage. They decided to take him to the hospital for an x-ray just to make sure anything wasn’t broken. When they finally got there Blaine couldn’t believe it. Kurt was the x-ray technician.

“It’s you,” Blaine said quietly even though Kurt wasn’t looking.

“I don’t know you. I’ve never seen- wait. You’re the guy that bumped into me earlier!” Kurt stated while turning around.

“Guilty as charged,” Blaine responded with a flirty smile on his face.

“Alright. Can we get him x-rayed now,” Coach Gonzales interrupted laughing. Kurt nodded his head and took the x-ray. Once it developed, Kurt took it and lead them to the doctor.

“Well, nothing looks broken. You should be fine in a few days, but you will be in pain. I’ll write you a prescription for pain meds,” the doctor stated.

“Doc, how long exactly will he be out? We have our first Spring Training game on Saturday.”

“He should be better by then. I just suggest he not pitch in very many innings.” The doctor and coach got sidetracked and started talking about the team this year.

Blaine looked over to see Kurt was still standing there. Kurt looked confused, so Blaine walked over to him.

“You play baseball? That explains why you have a bruise bigger than my hand,” Kurt mumbled.

“Yeah, I got hit with a ball because I got caught up in thoughts about you.” Did Blaine really just say that out loud? They both started blushing. “I’m sorry if that creeped you out. It just came out.”

“No, you’re fine. I just didn’t think you were gay,” Kurt whispered.

“Everyone thinks that at first. I’m actually the first openly gay MLB player,” confessed Blaine.

“That’s really amazing,” Kurt stated before looking into Blaine’s eyes. Before they knew it they were both looking at each other passionately.

“Anderson we better go. They might think you died or something,” Coach Gonzales joked.

“Kurt, wait. Do you want to go out  sometime?”

“Yes Blaine. I would like that,” Kurt replied with a huge grin.

Blaine couldn’t believe it. He just arrived in New York a week ago and so far he has found someone he might love, and plays for his favorite team.

A/N I always feel like I have long chapters but when I post them on here they are only like one page. I WILL get better about writing longer chapters. I just haven't written anything in a while so I gotta brush up on my skill.
