Love Conquers All

Chapter 1

BEEP BEEP

I open my eyes to see the stupid number on my clock going off and on, informing that the alarm is in fact going off. Damn it. It's time to go to work. I hate working so early in the morning. I groan and go get dressed in my uniform. Just a simple brown apron above whatever I decided to wear. I worked at Starbucks, which was in fact in the ghetto..so my parents have to drive me there and back. I went downstairs and woke my mom up. I try to keep myself from laughing when she grunts in annoyance. She throws the blanket off her, grabs the keys, puts her shoes on, and heads out the door. I have tried telling her that if she would let me not have a job, she wouldn't have to wake up this early but she always rolls her eyes and walks out the room.

I jog outside and into the car. I turn up the music just to annoy her, which in fact worked. She slaps my hands and turns it down while she pulls out of the drive way. Thankfully, I made it to work on time.

"Anna! Finally! I've gotten so bored with like two people coming per hour!"

I wave at Sara real quick as I stroll to the clock. I stick my tongue at her as I clock in, "Well that's just fantastic. No tips, huh?"

"I've only gotten a dollar and that was just because the man didn't see the cost correctly. I didn't bother telling him," Sara giggles like she actually did a real crime. I roll my eyes playfully.

"Darling it's Saturday. You have no plans to pay for anyway!" Sara says sticking her tongue at me.

I flip her off as I clean some of the counters. It's true. I have no social life..I don't really get along with girls at all. Just too much drama. I begin working but most of the time I just listen to Sara and her guy troubles. I may not have a social life, but I had a hell of a boyfriend life! Had a lot of them and all of them had so much "love" in it. Never had a stupid, dumb relationship because those were useless.

Before I knew it, it was five o'clock in the evening. Sara wasn't kidding when she said that it was slow. I only got five dollars today because only three people showed up. I hear my phone go off and I dig it out of my bag to get it.

From: Mom: Hey Hun! I'm so sorry but I'm caught up at work so I can't drive you. PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Please!

To: Mom: oh ok. yes ma'am

Well this is just great. I have to walk alone to my home..in the dark. It was that stupid winter time so it was darker than it was supposed to be. I said bye to Sara, clocked out, and begin walking home. I walked rather quickly, completely scared out of my mind.

*crack*

The heck? "Someone there?" I interrogated as I turned around to see what it was. I didn't see anything. Ofcourse. I continued on and when I turned the corner, I was pushed up against the wall. I screamed as loud as I possibly could, but no one could hear me and even if they did, they wouldn't do anything.

I was slapped hard, making me yelp in pain and caress my cheek.

"Shut up! Wouldn't want a pretty, little face like yours getting hurt."

I cowered away when I saw the man smirk. I looked into his black eyes and gulped. He wore all black and I was afraid to admit but I saw a shiny object in his hand.

A knife.

"Please let me go!" I pleaded as I tried to push him away, but it only made him get closer. He pushes me to the ground and straddles me.

"I guess someone will have to get hurt then love."

He then starts suffocating me with his body and leans in. He wraps his hands around my neck and I start to hyperventilate as he starts kissing my neck rather messily.

Then I felt nothing anymore.

I opened my eyes and see the strange man on the ground at least a few yards away. I look closer to see four guys surrounding him and yelling. One of them pulls him off the ground and pushes him against the wall and lean in. I hear a blood curling scream and then it hit me. The guy was getting bitten on the neck! I felt a hand on my mouth and pulling me closer to them. I freeze up when the person wraps their arms around me.

"It's ok babe. You're safe."

I'm safe?! I'm being forced to be close to this other person who could kill me! I scream and push the arms off me, which leads me to be wrapped in another set of arms.

"Princess, it's ok," the man says and then kisses my cheek.

I was going to scream again, but then I felt myself calming down. Was it the kiss? "Who are you guys?" I stutter out. I then only felt calmer. Why am I feeling calmer?! I should be freaking out and running! Then another guy, who had curly brown hair, came up to me and put his hands on my waist. I should've pushed him away, but I still felt strangely calm for some reason.

"I'm sorry. We didn't mean to scare you..we just saw you getting hurt by that guy. We took care of him though," he informs me and smiles reassuringly.

I start to freak out again. Took care of him?! "What do you mean by 'took care of him'?" I then look into his eyes and I lost track. He had such beautiful green eyes...he also had the cutest dimples. I just want to kiss him...WHAT WAS I SAYING? These guys freaked me out. I was losing control over myself. The guy behind me, who was holding me, spoke up.

"You don't need to know that right now. We'll tell you some other time. Right now though, you need to come with us. You're still in danger here."

After he was done talking, he started kissing my neck. My heart beat started beating even faster and I bit my lip. I then realized what he just said. I started freaking out, but I calmed down as soon as I did. What's wrong with me? I was surprised with my voice saying, "Ok..but I need explanations when we get there." I looked up and saw another boy walking to me. He had beautiful blue eyes and brown hair. He wrapped his arms around me, making the other two guys let go. He smiled sweetly down at me, and then before I knew it, I was in a house. A beautiful, big house with a lovely staircase. There were paintings everywhere and a huge dining room. How did I get here?

I hope you guys like the new format. I know I've had to rewrite this before and I'm doing it again but whatever. I felt like the format was stupid and bad so I decided to rewrite it.
