Love Conquers All

Chapter 3

"It's um..it sounds real bad, but it's not."

"It feels amazing love. Don't worry," Louis quickly commented.

"What's bonding?!" I yell at them. I was beyond nervous and none of them will tell me.

"I think Liam should explain it," Zayn suggested.

"Why me?!" Liam questions.

"Because you're basically the one who's in charge!" Niall answers trying to get Liam to do it. He sighs in relief when Liam says that he will do it. I didn't care who does it. As long as someone does it! I was feeling scared now. They were arguing over who's gonna tell me what bonding is. I look at Liam as he walks over. He rubs the back of his neck, obviously uneasy about telling me. He blows out some air and gently nudges me to go sit down on the couch. He sits right down beside me while Zayn comes over and sits on the other side of me, but he wraps his arm around me to comfort me.

Liam begins talking, "Ok, it happens when vampires find their mate. Which is you. You're all of our mates believe it or not. Bonding is when the vampires, or vampire, and human share blood causing feelings for each other to get stronger. It causes them to bond to each other by knowing where they are at all times and how they feel. It makes them want to be with them all the time. If they can't, then they grow weak."

Grow weak? Will I grow weak if I stay away with them? Am I stuck? Harry comes over to me and bends down to my level and takes my hands in his. "It feels like a drug. You can only stay away from each other for so long. If you're apart for a long time, you get sick."

"What do you mean by 'share blood'? Are you guys gonna...like..bite me?" Liam rubs my shoulder and says, "Yes and then you drink a drop of ours. It's in order from the oldest vampire to the youngest, which would be Zayn, me, Louis, Harry, and then Niall."

I get up as soon as the words leave Liam's mouth. I step out of Harry's reach before he could stop me, and I turn around to face them again. "I have to drink from you guys?! Doesn't biting hurt?" I hiss out.

Harry immediately shakes his head, "That's a myth love. It gives pleasure to the vampire and human."

I am really glad that they are staying a few feet away from me. I need my space and I need to think for a minute. If we bond, then I have to be with them all the time and what will happen to my family? Will they stay with me? Will I have to leave my family and stay with them? If we're not together, then we'll get sick. Why do we even need to bond? WHEN do we need to bond? Surely not anytime soon right? "Thank God it doesn't hurt...and umm..when do you guys have to bond with me?" I can feel my heart beat speed up, even though I can still feel that strange feeling that's trying to calm me down. I didn't know how to feel in this situation. These guys, who I hardly know, tell me that I'm their mate and that they need to bond with me. This is like some scary movie. I hardly even have feelings for them!

Louis flashes up behind me in a blink of an eye and hugs me, "The sooner the better. If we wait long, we'll grow weak and unable to protect one another. You'll be ok, but me and the boys will start to get weak."

I nod slowly, "I guess let's start..." I was freaking out til I strangely felt calm again. I look at Liam and see him smiling at me sweetly. His power can really come in handy. Someone's chest presses up against my back and I quickly look around to see Zayn. He lays his hands on my waist while kissing my cheek. I feel my hair start to slowly wave around from the wind. Wind? I look around and see that we are in a meadow again beside a beautiful waterfall. All my worries leave as Zayn turns me around and kisses me. His lips feel so soft against mine and I find myself slipping into his embrace. I wrap my arms around his neck and move the tips of my fingers through his hair. He slides his tongue against my bottom lip and I open my mouth without even thinking about it. I let him control the kiss and I shiver as he runs his tongue against mine. With a whimper from me, he pulls away and starts kissing my neck lovingly. I let out a moan as he starts to lightly suck on the skin of my neck. I shudder when I feel his fangs graze on my skin and I then feel them pierce through my skin. I yelp.
