Third Person POV
The headstone above her grave was beautiful. Flowers laid upon the ground, pictures of the smiling girl on her headstone.
What went wrong?
Snifling family members and friends gather around the grave, remembering the once happy girl who is now buried 6 feet below in a cold, shallow grave.
"what did i do wrong?" Cathy asked herself.
as the funeral ended and everyone left to their cars for the reception, Cathy and her mom stood at the grave, tears running down their faces as Cathy stroked the headstone.
"why couldn't I save her?" Cathy asked out loud.
"none of us tried, she hid it away with fake smiles." replied her mom.
they stood at the grave for a while longer, staring at the headstone that read:
'Here lies Rose Patterson, her life was gone too quickly (July 23, 2001-June 8, 2016)'
