Y/N POV:

Before Clancy came to get me for dinner, I became very close to Jay. he is a very nice guy, someone my father would hate. but Cole on the other hand seems to unsure about everything. while I was eating my lunch in my cell, Jay and Cole were talking, I could not help but over hear.

"Are u nuts?!?! She is the daughter of Nabakhan! She is probably gonna tell him that we were here when they go to dinner!" Cole whispered very loudly. I tried not to cry but how could I. I have been stuck here for years and I have never felt any other emotion besides sadness and fear. Is this why my father kept me locked in here alone so I wont have to be judged by others or to fall for anyone like Jay.

(during the dinner with nabakhan)

"Hello my dear daughter."

"Hello Father"

"why so upset my little Djinn?"

"oh.....its nothing father."

"OK well eat eat u must be starving."

"*nods* Father?"

"Yes Y/N?"

"do we have to follow tradition?"

".......what tradition?"

"the tradition that a daughter of a Djinn must be held in a cell until someone wish her human."

"Oh sweetheart why a sudden change?"

"its lonely down there and dark..... I want to at least talk to some of the pirates except for the rats that crawl in my cell at night."

"well we will see what we can do in the morning but outside there is very dangerous of people, I was only doing this to protect u."

"I-I know father."

(end of dinner)

After dinner I sat in my cell with only candle by the small peephole to see. As the candle light started to fade I slowly fell to sleep on the small mattress on the floor. No blanket no pillow only a mattress. Rats crawled up and down the hall of empty cells until it reached mine and nibbled on leftovers from lunch. In the darkness I noticed a sheet of paper at the end of my bed, on the front it had my name on it. Inside it said.....

Dear Y/N,

Sorry if my friend Cole was a little rude earlier, he is always like this. he just thinks that we cant trust you but I don't believe him. I think u are nothing like your father....rude not you.....sweet that's you. Hopefully I will be able to see you again soon. I'm sorry I have to go. Bye ;)

I smile as I read the letter over and over again. No one has ever done this for me before, and I'm glad he did. After reading the letter witch felt like 100 times I put the letter under my mattress and slowly fell asleep while imagining seeing Jay again but this time not behind bars.
