(So, I'd just like to touch base on a few SS things, well pertaining to the Joker, that lots of people have been questioning. I don't know if any of you had the same questions and/or thoughts, so I'll just add it here:
❝In all the SS trailers, the Joker has been seen out in public. If he's such a notoriously dangerous criminal, why is he out walking freely? Shouldn't he be back in the Arkham Asylum?❞
Well, there's a few things to the answer. Now, I cannot say how Joker initially got into the hands of Dr. Quinzel at Arkham Asylum, (simply because the directors/writers could have went their own way and created a scenario that's completely different from the comics/previous films), but I can say that once he got out, that's all he needed. Everything he does is for a reason, believe it or not. He's incredibly intelligent and I believe he's in Arkham for his own personal agenda. As for being out in public, a notorious psychopath with probably just as much wealth at his fingertips as Bruce Wayne, is walking the streets. If you were part of the GCPD, would you try and stop him? The Joker is such a force in Gotham that people either adore him like a celebrity, or they want to stop him but are too afraid to do anything about it. The Joker is basically a mafia boss in this universe and in history, mafia bosses did exactly that. Walk freely. Take Al Capone for example, no one was going to get in his way unless they had a death wish. David Ayer (SS Director) even stated that J's look was inspired by Mexican cartel leaders and I think they delved deeply into that aspect (which is so amazing). Take a look at this:
The handgun on the top was seized from Mexican drug lord Alfredo Beltran Leyva, also known as "El Mochomo". The handgun on the bottom belongs to, well ya' know.
So if that doesn't answer the question, then try this: J is basically a walking "TRY ME" sign. )
