Working Together *Robsten Fanfiction*

     After I dropped Kristen off at her apartment, we exchanged numbers and and started texting non-stop. Our conversations consisted of stupid-mindless rambling about things we agreed on like how waffles are way better than pancakes, or how fish are just excuses for parents to get their kinds to shut up about pets. Regardless of our conversations, it made me like Kris more and more. 

     As I was watching tv and eating some takeout, I got a call from Sarah, my manager. She was screaming and telling me about a recent article saying that Kris and I were on a date. I read the article and couldn't sit there without being in shock. All the pictures were evident that we were there together, but it wasn't what everyone was thinking. Even Cathy had warned me before our lunch. 

     *flashback*

     "Hey Rob. Before you go, can I talk to you for a sec?" I nodded and followed Cathy into her bedroom. "You cannot go on a date with Kristen."

     "Catherine, I can definitely say and promise that we are only going to lunch as friends. Okay, maybe I like her, maybe, kind of, sorta... I don't know okay. All I do know is that it's wrong." The more I kept talking, the more bummed out I got. 

     She patted me on the back. "Robert, I just want you to be careful. I see how she looks at you and how you look at her. You have a real connection with each other." Is she trying to tell me that we like each other? "But Rob, she's still younger than you. Just, please, be careful. The press will chew you up and spit you out."

     "I know. I'll be okay, Cathy." I hugged her and we both left the room. 

     *end of flashback*

     I texted her, telling her to read the article. She was worried that it was something bad and oh dear... it was bad. It took her a while before she responded...

     K- Fuck...

     R- I know Kris. Just stay calm. It's fine. 

     She wasn't responding... It took a solid fifteen minutes of me waiting before I gave up. I looked up our names to see if there were any other articles. In the span of me reading the first article and telling Kris about it, there were at least 20 more about the same topic. All with titles like...

     Real life Edward and Bella, or is Kristen Stewart just cheating on Michael Angarano?

     Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were caught on a date?!

     New couple alert! Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson?!

     For god's sake, we only went out to eat. I did exactly what I was told, and kept it strictly professional. She finally responded...

     K- Cathy called. Not too happy

     R- I figured :(

     *kristen*

     My phone started ringing and honestly, I didn't want to talk to anyone because all everyone wanted to know, was if me and Rob were together. I looked ant my phone one more time. It was Cathy calling.

     "Hello?" I was more hesitant answering the phone.

     "Kris? What the hell is happening on the internet right now?"

     "Well, when me and Rob went to lunch, I guess the paparazzi got us."

     "Well I know that. Is it bad to say I told you so, because I did Kris."

     "I know. I know. But don't worry, I have an idea to fix it."

     I wasn't lying when I said I had an idea. I was going to do something that could make everyone panic just a tad....

     (A/N I'm so sorry that this one is so short. I promise that the next chapter will be a long one! p.s. This chapter is almost 500 words shorter!)
