2 Weeks Later
Logan's POV
I have my first date tonight with Corey and I'm so excited. We would have gone out sooner but he's been at away games for 2 weeks. We're going to dinner and the movies, classic first date.
Mia and I were currently shopping at the mall to find me a cute outfit for tonight.
"How about this one?" She said, holding up a tight-looking, short, black dress.
"Definitely not. That's gonna make me look like a slut. It's just dinner and a movie, nothing too fancy." I said.
She huffed and put it back. We kept looking and didn't find anything until we finally got to Aeropostale. I was looking through racks when I saw the cutest romper in the world. It was a white spaghetti strap with black patterns around the edges. It was perfect.
"That's so cute! Try it on!!" Mia said excitedly, pushing me into a changing stall.
I quickly put it on and walked out, standing in front of the mirror.
"Perfect! Corey will love it!" She said, hugging me.
I smiled and blushed.
I paid for it and we went looking for shoes. I ended up just buying some all white Vans. We stopped by the food court for lunch and went back home.
My date wasn't until 7 and it was only 4, but I needed to look amazing so I started getting ready. I took a shower, washing my hair, body, face and shaving my legs. I dried off and put on a towel robe. I blow dried my hair and curled it a little, making it slightly wavy. I put it in a half-ponytail with a bow. I did my make-up, not doing too much but making sure it looked nice. Lastly, I put on my outfit and sprayed some perfume on myself. I looked in the mirror and smiled.
I hope Corey likes what he sees...
I grabbed my purse and put in my phone and travel make-up bag. I checked myself one last time.
"Logan! Corey's here!" I heard Mia yell.
I took a deep breath and walked downstairs. Mia was standing by the door, next to Corey. Daaaamn, that boy looked fine. He was wearing a grey button-up, black jeans, and grey Vans. He had a bouquet of pinkish-white tulips, my favorite.
He looked at me and his jaw dropped and eyes went wide. I shyly smiled and stood next to him.
"You look amazing. These are for you." He said sweetly, handing me the flowers.
"They're beautiful. Thank you." I said.
He smiled and Mia took them to put them in a vase.
"Well, go one. Have fun, but not too much! You hurt my baby and it'll be the last thing you do!" She said, half joking.
Corey laughed.
"I won't let anything happen to this beauty." He said, winking at me.
I blushed and we said our good-byes. We walked out to his car, a blue Ferrari. He opened my door and I thanked him, getting in. He got in the front and we drove off.
"So how were your games? I heard somebody hit a grand slam every game." I said happily.
"I wonder who. Was it Joc? Adrian? Gotta be Justin." He said sarcastically.
I laughed and he smiled.
"But it was good, almost swept those Cardinals. I missed you though." He said, looking at me with the most sincere, romantic look.
I blushed extremely hard and smiled.
We continued to talk about random things until we pulled up to the restaurant. It was a casual Italian food place, but Mia told me it was amazing.
We walked inside and the waiter lead us to our table.
"Hi, my name is Ryan. I'll be serving you this evening. Can I get you two anything to drink?" He asked.
"I'll take a Coke please." Corey said.
"Water is fine for me." I said.
He nodded happily and walked off.
"So how'd it feel getting called up to the Dodgers?" I asked.
"It was a dream come true. Unlike anything I've every felt before. I've worked my butt off since little league, dreaming I'd someday get to the majors." He said.
"Well, you certainly deserve it. You're an amazing player." I said.
He smiled, making me smile back.
The waiter brought our drinks and took our order. We continued to talk about family, our childhood, our likes and dislikes, etc.
"So how'd you meet Mia?" He asked after a bite of his pasta.
"Well, we met in preschool and have been inseparable since. She's more my sister than my best friend." I smiled.
We finished eating and he paid the bill, even after I insisted we split it. We walked out, hand in hand. We drove the 5 minutes to the movie theater and got our tickets. We decided to see Ghostbusters, which I heard was good. We went inside, got a drink and went to our theater.
The movie was hilarious, we couldn't stop laughing. I think they did a good job with this one. When the movie was over, we decided to go for a walk in a nearby park. We walked around, hand in hand, continuing to laugh and talk.
He made me feel a certain way; He made me feel special. He asked about me, most guys just talk about themselves. He made jokes that made be laugh whole-heartedly. He was so sweet and funny, but smart and clever. He could be sarcastic, just like me, but also be serious.
"Wow, look at that moon. And the stars."
I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up at the night sky.
"Yup, it is beautiful." I said, in awe.
"Not as beautiful as you." He said with a smile.
I looked up at him and we made eye contact. Not awkward, but romantic. He leaned in and our lips connected. I missed his sweet, soft lips. His hands went to my waist and mine went around his neck.
We kissed for a few minutes before pulling away, smiling like idiots.
"You know, you're an amazing kisser." He said, pecking my lips.
"Why thank you, you are too." I said, blushing for the millionth time tonight.
He smiled and we walked back to his car. He drove me home and walked me to the door.
"I had a great time tonight. Thank you so much." I said.
"My pleasure. I had a great time too." He smiled.
We kissed, more like made out, for a few minutes until Mia swung the door open.
"Alright, alright. That's enough. It's a good night kiss, not a good night swallow." She teased.
I blushed and Corey laughed, pecking my lips. We said our good-byes and went our separate ways. Of course, the second he left, Mia made me tell every specific detail about the date. After she got her fill, I went upstairs, washed my face, brushed my teeth, and changed into a tank top and Nike shorts.
I was in bed when I got a text.
Corey<3- Just got home, miss you already ;) wanna go out monday after my game?
Me- Of course :* see ya then :))I smiled and fell asleep.
