CH.7
I woke up and looked at my alarm clock. It was 5:00 A.M. I have 4 hours before I catch my plane to Chicago. This was day. This was the day I would finally meet my dad! I closed my eyes to get at least another hour of sleep. But I failed because I was very excited.
I decided just to get ready now. I struggled out of bed, and I started towards my mirror. Even from far away I could see my messy hair. It looked horrible. Especially since I have a mop of hair. I took my brush and made my way through my hair. OW! It was very hard to brush this time so I just decided to get a shower instead. I went to my closet and stood there for a minute. I walked over to my TV and turned it on. I was checking the weather to see what degree it would be in Chicago.
It is going to be very warm. That's good! I looked in my closet once again and pulled out a pretty pink plaid shirt, and regular Hollister® jeans. I went into my bathroom got a towel and washcloth. The warm water felt so good since I am usually cold in the mornings. For a second I dozed off in the shower! I don't know how that happened!
After I was done I got out and looked at my wet hair in the mirror. It looked better. I glided my brush through my hair. It was easy to brush it now because it was wet and I used conditioner. I went out of my bathroom and sat back on my bed. Today was the day. I would soon be in my dads embrace.

An hour passes and I was still on my bed watching TV. Mom knocked on the door.
"Come in!"
"Hi sweety."
"hey."
"Are you excited?"
"Yes!"
"I could tell. You are already ready to go!"
"Well I couldn't go back to sleep."
"We have to leave her by 7:30 a.m. to get to the airport. You know how long it takes to get there. And when we do get there, we will have 30 minutes to shop in the airport before you catch you're plane at 9."
"The airport has shops?"
"Of course! They even have a McDonalds and Taco bell."
"Awesome! Can I wait to eat at McDonalds when we go? I don't feel good when I eat this early."
"Sure."
"I guess I'm going to go visit the horses."
"OK. Be careful!"
We both went out of my room. I walked down the stairs to the kitchen. I grabbed some oats and a jug of water. I put my mud boots on and walked out the door. I should of grabbed my jacket because it was very cold out. I could tell it rained the night before, because the ground was wet. I could hear my horses whinny wondering where I am.
"I'm coming!" I yelled out to the barn.
The barn suddenly went quiet as they heard my voice. I unlocked the door and slipped in. I looked over to Pepper's stall. I saw that he had been chewing on the wood of his door. That meant he was very aggravated. Maybe because I didn't go up there yesterday, because I was upset.
"Pepper...Its OK I'm here."
He looked at me with sad eyes. I could tell he was trying to tell me that he was glad that I was here, because he was nudging my hand.
"I'm sorry I didn't come yesterday. I was a little upset."
"Do you guys want some oats?" I asked.
They gave me a look that said:
"Yes!!! Gimmmeeeeee!"
I walked into Pepper's stall first and poured some in. He immediately moved towards his bowl. I stepped out and went to Flicker's stall. Her stall was right next to Pepper's. I continued to do the same with Mollie, Sandy, and Annie's.
"OK. After you guys are done with that I'll let you out in the field."
They continued to munch. I opened there stalls and opened the back door that went to the field. I filled there water bucket with the jug of water.
"Bye guys. I'm going for a while. Don't worry you will get to see me on video chat!"
They looked at me with sad faces. I gave them a sad face too. I don't know how I am going to live without them for six months. I opened the door and looked at them as I stepped out. I slowly closed it and went back to the house. This would be the last time I saw them.
