Pit ended up staying for dinner and it was really awkward, Emily's mom was extremely over protective and asked a lot of questions.
"So have you ever been to detention at school?"
Pit didn't know how to answer Emily knew he had and that would not be good publicity for her parents. "No I haven't." he answered, or lied.
"Good that's great! So how long have you known Emily?"
"Uhh... A long time?" Pit was a little confused and you could tell, his left eyebrow went higher and higher with each question. Emily was getting agitated and you could deffinately tell everyone's feelings at the moment. Emily's mom was happy, her dad was bored, and Emily and Pit were agitated. "Please no more questions!"
"Ok fine run along." Mrs. Bleep said not realizing she sounded like she was talking to two kids.
Emily followed Pit outside knowing he was leaving. The night was beautiful, you could see all the stars and barely a light was on in any house.
"Are you walking home?" Emily asked.
"Yeah, I didn't bring my cellphone. So do you-"
"You can borrow mine!" Emily interrupted pushing herself close to Pit and holding out her phone. She knew he was asking for a flashlight, but she wanted a way to get closer to him.
Obviously it was still awkward. "Thanks?" he said questionably.

I turned on the phone and saw a picture of me in the background. When I looked up even in the darkness I could tell her face was bright red. "I totally forgot that was there...Maybe."
I put my arm around her shoulder and handed the phone back to her. She began to look concerned again and right away I knew. "Everything's going to turn out right. Just as you planned."
Emily started to play with her necklace then looked at me and simply said. "I hope."
(QotC "'I totally forgot that was there...Maybe.'" Sure, me. You totally forgot.
Good thing you act nothing like me.)
