Chapter 20

Why Liz's POV;
Jackson and I made our way out of his room and he tapped Lily's door open as it had been slightly opened already. My eyes scanned the room for the little girl, gone. Turning away from the door I hear a slight sob come from Lily's room. I slipped my hand out of Jackson's, causing him to turn his attention towards me. I walk into Lily's room, I walk over to the other side of the bed and there she was. She was sitting on the floor crying, I picked her up off the floor and Jackson ran over to Lily and pulled her close to him. "Are you okay?" "What happened?" "What did you see?" Jackson was pouring all of these questions onto her, overwhelming the child causing her to cry even more. "Shh. Shh." I stroked her back and shuffled in front of her. I lifted her chin up so her eyes met mine. "Are you okay?" I asked in a soothing voice. "Ye.. Yes I'm umm. Fine" she replies, a little bit of uncertainty filling her voice. "What happened?" I ask her question by question, making sure she doesn't get uncomfortable. "A lady.. In all black. I was uh sleeping when sh.. she came in and.. she. she.. she hurt me.. she left.." she studded alot as she managed to get it all out, but.. I feel like she is missing something. "Is that everything Lily?" I ask her, my eyebrows furrowed together. She shook her head. "It sounded like..." "like who?" Jackson asked, rushing his sister making her a bit uncomfortable. A tear slipped down
her cheek, she turned towards me. "It sounded like Dani"
Dani's POV:
My breathing picking up, the pouring rain pelting down onto me. Thoughts spinning around and around in my brain, giving me a headache. I have to tell the others that it's been me torturing them for the past three days. But they will think that it's been me the whole time, but it hasn't. The real E has stopped, it's been me for a while but E was before me. I have to tell them. Running from Jackson's to Sarah's to Jackson's was hard work. Hurting Lily made me so sad, tears still fell from my cheeks as I ran in the rain. When I got home, I shot up to my room and flopped onto my bed. I felt a buzz from my pocket, I dug into my pocket and found my phone. Still puffing, I answered Jackson. "Jacks-" "Danielle." "I need to tell you somet-" "You need to spill." Our words kept fumbling over eachothers. "Jackson." "Yes?" "Okay. I need to tell you something" "Yes.. Yes that you do." "Okay so umm.. This would be better if we were all together. Meet me at the hospital in twenty minutes." "Wait but Danie-" I ended the call before he could start. I don't have time to change from my dripping wet clothes so I just run outside and jump into my car, start it up and drive fiercely to the hospital. Breaking the speed limit the whole way there. Pulling up in the carpark, I jump out of the car and run over to the hospital. Rain pelting down on the way over, a few short moments later a car pulls up a few parks from mine. Two people hop out and run over to me out of the rain. I open the hospital door ans gesture them to walk inside. The three of us walk up to the counter and find out where Sarah was being held. We all walk into the room and I close the door behind me, Jackson and Liz greet Sarah and then spin on their heels to face me. "So.. What is it that you need to tell us?" Liz lifts an eyebrow. "okay so uhh I just want-" I'm interrupted by Sarah. "Uhh? What the hell is going on? You all barge into my room and now Dani looks like she's going to confess up to something ridiculous like being E!" "Well uhh.. you see. That's what i'm here to do" I squint my eyes shut praying that I won't get slapped across my bare face. But just the opposite happens, all three of them burst out laughing. "Why would you joke about something so serious?" Jackson manages to spit out whilst choking on laughter. "I'm actually telling the truth well.. The past couple of days, everything that 'E' has done to you has actually been me. But before three days ago, that was all E. But.. I don't know who that is." Jackson and Liz's eyes were wide open, Sarah was sitting up her eyes almost as wide as the other two's put together. It felt like they were looking right through me, not at me. I don't think that they're suprised by my story. I spin on my heels and my mouth dropped. "E? That just happens to be me" a wide smile spread across her face as she flicked her blonde curls off her shoulder. "But.. You. You're.. De. Dead?" I manage to spit out. "Mm. I think I look perfectly alive, don't you think Lily?" Eli pulls a little girl around the corner and into view. "Lily!" Jackson yells and runs over to her, Eli throws her at Jackson. He walks backward slowly, holding Lily tight. "Don't you wanna know how I lived for three years un noticed?" Elizabeth chuckles .
