Cory's P.O.V

Wow, raining pretty hard out there. Hope Nick got home okay. At that moment, the doorbell rang. I look from the TV to the door. I then heard desperate knocking. Who the hell would be knocking on the door in weather like this? I walk over to the door and open it, revealing a soaking wet and shivering Nick. His hair was a mop, his nose was red, and he was just looking at me. My eyes widened, the sight so unbearable.

"M-My keys are i-in my h-house."
"Jesus, Nick, get in here!" I rush him inside, running upstairs to grab a few towels. After I went back downstairs, I laid two towels on the couch, one on the back and on the seat, and sat him down. Then, I wrapped two towels around him, warming him up. The last towel I used to dry his hair. I went behind the couch, behind him, and just started scrubbing the towel on his head, drying it off. "I thought you were at Uni's, how did you get here?" I asked, his hair finally dried, but it looking like he just got out of bed. I grab a comb and just comb through his hair, getting it back to its natural spike.

"Th-thank you, C-Cory..." Nick blushes, then he shudders. Does he like me? "What were you doing out in the rain? Once again, I thought you were at Uni's place, so how did you get here?" He looked up at me, his eyes glazed over. Something was wrong. "Nick, what happened at Uni's." I say seriously. Nick was my friend, and also, I guess, one of my crushes. If I find out something happened, Uni's gonna have a few words thrown at him like a small truck. "I-it's nothing..." He mumbled. He looked like he was going to cry. "Niiiiiick." I say more seriously, if there's another level. He was about to burst. The dam broke, and tears just streamed down his face.

"No no, shh, Nick, calm down." I hugged him for comfort, immediately regretting being so stern. He buried his face into my chest, making me blush just the slightest. "What happened?" He looked back up at me. "J-just... U-Uni..."
"What did he do?"
Nick shook his head. "Nothing... He's... Dating my g-girlfriend..." My heart shattered. How could Shelby do this to Nick?!? "Oh my god... I'm so sorry, Nick." I laid my head on top of his, with his face buried under my jawline. He was just sitting there, telling me everything that Uni said.

In Nick's P.O.V and a flashback of what happened........

"Nick, I swear, I didn't mean to hurt you! I was planning on telling you soon, but Uni already got me busted." Shelby said in her sad sing-song voice. "WELL YOU HURT ME MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE!" I just flung the door open and stomped outside. "Nick, it's raining, let me take you home!" Uni offered from the cover of his house. I flipped him off and just screamed at him. One of my friends. "I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS, UNI! BUT YOU TOOK MY GIRLFRIEND!" I started running. "NICK, YOUR GOING TO FREEZE!" Uni yelled back. "I DON'T CARE! MAYBE ITS BETTER IF I DO!" I wanted to take back everything I said to Uni. I wish I could...

Time skip......

I was at my front door. Uni was right, I am freezing. I looked for my keys, and realized that they were at Uni's house. I forgot to grab them. I don't think Cory's gonna let me stay at his place until I can get my keys back... Worth a shot. I walked over across the street to his house. I rang the doorbell. I heard the TV, so I assumed he was home. Then, I felt so cold, so frozen, I thought my nose might've fallen off. I desperately needed to get inside. My knocks became more desperate than me. Suddenly, the door was opened. Cory was standing there, wide eyed and looked like he couldn't even stand to see me like this. "M-My keys are i-in my h-house." I lied. I couldn't tell him the truth, I still wanted Cory and Uni to be friends. It was between me and Uni anyways.
