Chapter 3: Goodbye Philippines! Hello San Fo!

I'm here at my room packing my things. My family decided that we need a break since my parents are tired from work and I need to forget about him, and that won't happen if I see him everyday. We decided to take a vacation in San Francisco since classes are ending anyways. It's my first time going to San Fo, but also sad because I'm not going to see Rea for a year, since we decided that I study there for a year. I was about to finish packing when Kuya entered my room.

Done packing little sis? He asked.

I'm almost done. I said.

Are you sure about leaving? Leaving the Philippines? Going to San Fo? He asked.

Kuya, we all needed a break. Mom and Dad need a break from work. You need a break from college life. And me, I need to forget about him. It's time to have fun again. I said sincerely.

You know what, I'm proud of you! Our little princess is growing up! Kuya said while fake crying.

Kuya, whatever happens, I'll still be your princess. Forever! I said.

After packing up, we went straight to the airport with Rea and Tito Arthur and Tita Yna.

Bye tito! Bye tita! I said to Tito and Tita.

Bye Jaymie! Have a safe trip! Tito said.

Bye Jaymie! Have fun there! Remember Jaymie..... Tita said.

Yeah tita, I know. Books before boys. Promise! I said while raising my right hand making a promise.

Jaymie!!! Why do you have to leave?! Why can't you stay?! Rea said while almost crying.

Rea, I'll come back I promise. And when I come back, I will make sure that I will bring a lot of chocolates! You like that remember?! So promise I'll come back! Come here. I said while pulling her into a hug.

Jaymie I will miss you! I will really miss you! Rea said.

I will miss you too! Bye! I said.

With that, we went inside the airport and waited for our DELAYED flight. What's new?! So while waiting me and kuya are talking.

Jaymie, why did you want to go to San Fo? Kuya asked.

Kuya, forgetting him is not just the reason why I want to go to San Fo. I figured out that our family needs our family time together. Sometimes, we are not going to church all together. Sometimes we are not eating dinner together. So I figured out we needed our family time back. I explained.

You know what, I think you're mature enough to make your own decisions. I'm proud of you little sis! Kuya said.

*Flight to San Francisco is now boarding*

Niko, Jaymie! Come on let's go! Papa said.

We might miss our flight! Mama said.

Coming! Me and kuya both said.

After a few hours we landed in San Francisco. OMG! It's really beautiful here. After getting our bags, we went straight to our rented car.

So far this trip is going amazing. I can't wait to live here for a year. My family decided that we will just homeschool while we are still here in San Fo. I hope my decision of living here will not be a regret.
