Leo's POV:

I don't really know when I fell asleep but I'm extremely grateful for the knock at Beckendorf's room for making me u- waking me up.
I had this insane dream that Annabeth, Festus, (Y/N) and I were sitting at this dinner table with a red table cloth (which, I'm pretty sure was white but soaked in Percy Jackson's blood). Festus and (Y/N) started flirting and one thing led to another, the details aren't really that important, but it ending with me and Annabeth making out on a table cloth soaked in her dead boyfriend's blood. Which, you know, resinated with me on an emotional level. And didn't make me question my subconscious desires and feelings. At all...
I swing open the door to find a very weak looking (Y/N) leaning against the doorframe.
"How did you find my..." I look around the room. "Humble abode?" I finish.
"I told her," Nick says, popping out of literally nowhere. I should also note that he's no longer on the verge of death.
"What happened to you?" I ask, genuinely worried that he sold his soul to the king of hell or something so he could walk again.
"(Y/N) healed me up," he replies, nodding to her as a signal for her to explain. She blushes.
"Daughter of Poseidon. Comes with perks. Can I come in? I've gotta talk to you."
I nod and let her in, hoping she didn't have a dream about making out with Annabeth or Festus or something.
"You made out with Annabeth?" she asks.
"What?" I say a little too loudly. "No! I wa- can you read minds?" I ask, stepping back.
"No. You just said you made out with Annabeth. And Festus? I don't know. Look we've got to talk."
Thank god. That would've been awkward.
"Yes, it would've been extremely awkward." I stumble back again, putting my arms and legs out in front of me in ridiculously exaggerated ways, like in those Bruce Lee movies.
"You really need to start working on not mumbling everything you think," she says. Ok, good, she can't mind read. Did she hear that? Did I say that? Can she still hear my voice even if I don't tal-
"We've got a problem," she says nervously, interrupting my thoughts.
"According to Annabeth we have more than just one."
"Yes, well we haven't reached Jay-Z level yet but still."
I laugh. Actually laugh. I haven't actually laughed in what seems like forever. I'm constantly the one cracking the jokes, not the other way around.
"You should make jokes more often," I tell her with a grin.
"When it's appropriate I do," she replies with a smirk. "But right now it's not. Look," she continues, lifting her shirt up. Her cut is starting to appear again.
"How is that possible?" I say, gripping the shelf behind me so I don't fall down.
"I-I don't know. Maybe since you're the one who healed me, well, what if-"
"If you're not around me you start to... un-heal yourself."
"Bingo."
"Problem: the quest."
"Jackpot."
"If more than three demigods leave camp, don't monsters pick up their scent easily?"
She nods, as if I have no grasp on the severity of this situation.
"Well, then we'll just have to fight a little more, I guess."
"Really? Do you think Jason and Piper would be ok with that?"
"Well, we're not just going to let you die!"
"Maybe letting me die is better than making all of you die with me." She looks down at her shoes. I can't believe she's serious.
"No. No, we're not letting you die (Y/N)!" I promised myself I wouldn't let her die once. I'm not giving up on that promise so soon.
"We'll figure it out. You'll be ok."
She looks at me with her shocked eyes for a moment and I'm not sure how she's going to react. Then she slams against me and wraps her arms around me, her hands in shaking fists. I hug her back, stroking circles into her back with my thumb in attempt to calm her down.
"Thank you Leo," she says, her voice quivering and muffled against my shoulder.
"It's ok," I whisper back. "It'll be ok."
