Chapter 20

"Jade what are u doing here". Jade gave me a look of disgust. "Just having a hunt". I gave her a retort response. "I'm so sorry for killing Loyola. I couldn't control myself". She looked with a blank look and them her eyes turned red like mine. "I forgot about that until now. Now I'm going to kill you". She lunges towards me but I move. She hits her hip on the side of the wall but she doesn't even flinch. "Look Jade, everyone I know is a fairy tale person and my family doesn't even know me anymore. I don't know what to do". I look down and start to cry. jade walks towards me and out of no where I growl towards here. She backs up. "Sorry. I'll stop". She walks towards me and sits next to me. Jade breaths deep. "Look Christen, they don't know you cause they don't remember you anymore. That's what happens to us. Our human families forget us and have a mother child. We feel like a ghost to them. We can't do anything about it and I forgive you for killing Loyola. You were just trying to get away from them. I understand. On my first breakup with a guy I broke his neck". I look up at her and hug her. She looks shocked for a second and then she hugs me back. we stop and I see Nathan here. I back up from here and stand up. Me and Nathan were the same hight. He stands away from me and I don't blame him. I just hugged a vampire. "What do you want Nathan"? Nathan takes a step towards me. "I'm sorry for saying that. I know you can't control yourself but I can help you with that". I step away from him. "I don't want you to help me. You said that you didn't want to help a little kid. He cuts me off. "You heard that"? "Yes Nathan and I'm so mad right now I just want to kill something". He looks at Jade and she hisses at him. "Then you should kill Jade. She is on there side. The evil side". I turn to her. "Your a bad person Jade"? She looks at me. "Yes but I didn't hurt you did I. Your my best friend and I loved hanging out with you today. We were just bonding there". I look back up at Nathan. I walk towards him. "I can't kill my best friend. She was there for me and I will miss her so much if I kill her". I close my eyes and when I open them we are inches apart. Nathan opens his mouth to say something but I lean in and kiss him. He was stunned and backed out but them he went back in. I missed his warmth on me. I stopped. "I'm so sorry for running away from you". He then pauses and talks. "No I'm sorry for saying those mean things to you. I love you and I can't live without you". He just said that to me. I was so happy that I could kiss him all over again. He waits for my response. " I love you too Nathan and I feel the same way about you and me". I lean in to him and we kiss but he stops and growls. I look owe his shoulder and see Seth standing there with Jade in his hands. I get out of Nathan's grasp and turn towards Seth but someone grabs me. I look and see red eyes all around us. It was people like me. They had Nathan tied to a tree and they were holding me so where I could still see Jade. She was twisting but his hold was stronger. I look at Seth with disgust. "Let Jade go Seth". He laughs at my request and then everyone laughs. "What's so funny about that. She's my friend". He stops laughing and looks at me. Our eyes turn red and he gets someone to hold Jade. He walks toward me and grabs me. The person who was holding me lets go but Seth has a hold of me now. He looks at me with his red eyes. I look at him with my red eyes. "We are made for each other Christien. Can you not grasp that". Before I could answer that he kisses me. He let's go but my hands go on his back. I go to his neck and snapped it. His head falls off and rolls to the floor. I look up to find the others running away. I look at Jade to find the guy who tied her up was still holding her neck. He snaps it too and her head goes right on the floor. I scream and the guy runs away. Nathan runs toward me but I start to run after them and Nathan ran with me. We chased them for hours and I didn't look where I was going and hit my head on a branch. Everything went blank.
