"Melissa, we're going to be there in 15 minutes. Tell Tommy that I say hi." Dad tells mom.

"Dad!" I say.

"What?" He asks.

"Tommy's there." I say. I just roll my eyes as he looks like an idiot. I go upstairs and grab my backpack. My mom hasn't seen me yet, but to be fair, I haven't wanted to go and disappoint her. I'm not the daughter she remembers. Underneath the act, there's a monster.

"Lea, I just have a bad feeling about you going with your mom." Dad says.

"Dad! I'll be fine, it's just mom. She hasn't seen me in over five years." I tell him.

"I know, but just let me know if anything happens." Dad demands.

"Fine." I say handing my bag to my dad's body guard.

"Lea, I love you." Dad says.

"I love you too." I say. We head to the car and I get in shotgun.

15 minutes later

"Oh my god!" I say as we drive up to my mom's penthouse.

"Lea, after everything she did move." Dad says.

"I figured, but dad! This is so cool." I yell. Diggle (the body gaurd) just laughs. We get there and my mom and uncle Tommy are waiting outside.

"Milea?!" Mom says squeezing me.

"Hey mom." I say trying to get my arms free enough to hug her back. "Hi Uncle Tommy."

"Hey kiddo." Tommy says grabbing me and spinning me around. "Oliver?!" He says hugging dad.

"Lea, let's get your stuff inside." Dad says. Mom shakes her head. God it's good to see her, with her red velvet hair, bright green eyes, her fancy black dress, and high heels. (Pic of Melissa in media.)

"So... This is the penthouse huh?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'll show you your room." Mom says. Dad and I follow her into a room towards the back. "I know this is just a guest room, but we can make it yours. Why don't we go to the store tonight and get stuff?"

"I would like that." I say. Dad sets my backpack on the bed and then kisses my head.

"Oli, can I talk to you for a sec?" Mom says. She walks out to the hallway, with my dad, and shuts my bedroom door. I sorta eavesdrop through the door.

"Oli, I've missed you." My mom says.

"Lis. I can't, I wish I could, but right now I just can't." Dad says.

"Come on Oli, didn't you miss me?" Mom asks.

"Lis, I've missed a lot of people. And last time you did something like this, Lea was born." dad says.

"Shhh, stay for a little bit." Mom says.

"Melissa," dad says.

"Come on Oli." Mom begs.

"Lis, Lea's here, not to mention Tommy." Dad says.

"Then Oliver, why don't you stay for the night?" Mom persists.

"Melissa, fine." Dad says. I'm pretty sure he just wants her to shut up. I can't even think right now. I just can't.

"Lea, ready to go shopping?" Mom yells.

"Yep." I say trying to think of anything else. Like my boyfriend or something. Yes, I said my boyfriend. He's an assassin, his name's Aaron. He's Nyssa's son. He actually came up with the idea of me escaping. Aaron, just understands me. We still keep in contact, I'm not the only one with the bracelet/gauntlet thingy. I walk out of my room and dad and mom are standing right there.

"Let's go. Tommy, go to the car." Mom yells.

We get to her corvette and dad and I just look at each other. "Mom, why aren't we taking your other car?" I ask.

"Because she's a speed demon." Uncle Tommy says. I just laugh. We get to the store and mom and I go to the bedding stuff, while the boys go to whatever they want to.

"Lea, what do you like?" Mom asks. I pick out the black set. "Really? Black?" Mom asks confused. "I remember when you would tell me that black wasn't a real color and you hated it for not being one. You also hated white for doing the same exact thing."

"Mom, I was five. Things have changed." I say. She just nods her head and then I see a poster that catches my eye. It's a black veil brides poster. "Mom, can I get it please?" She just nods her head.

"Lea, why don't we wait for the boys in the parking lot?" Mom asks.

"Ok, just text one of them." I tell her as we walk out of the store. We get to the car and put my stuff in it. Mom pulls out her phone.

Thud! I hear. I run around the car to see my mom passed out on the ground. I turn around, then everything goes black.

2 hours later

"Mmm hmm." Mom tries to speak. I grogly wake up to the sound of screaming. I see this guy, I know him from his file with the league. We call him the doll maker.

"Stop!" I say as he pours the silicone stuff into a tube. I try to break free, but whatever the doll maker used, made me weak.

"Now, now child. Her beauty will be preserved forever now." The doll maker yells.

"I'm going to kill you, you psycho!" I tell using the blood from my wrist, like butter, to get free.

"Mmmm. NO YOU'RE NOT!" The doll maker laughs. I get out of the ties holding me to two poles and smash the glass thingy, that he poured the silicon into, over his head. I look at my mom and start crying. "No, mommy, no!" I sob.

The doll maker tries to throw a knife at me, but misses. I run out of there as fast as I can. I look down at my blood wrist. "Shit! This is going to be hard to explain." I say running. I use my bracelet thingy and use thr grappling hook. I get onto the building and grab my cell out of my pocket. Why didn't he take this? I think to myself. Then I see 20 missed calls from dad and uncle Tommy. I call my dad back.

"Lea?! Where are you?" Dad asks.

"Dad! Mom's dead." I say tearing up.

"Lea?! What? Where are you?" Dad asks.

"I don't know." I tell him. "I'll meet you over by the um... Old sugar factory." I say seeing the tower.

"Ok! Just go there!" Dad says. Then he hangs up the phone. I basically roof hop all the way there. I get to the parking lot and see uncle Tommy and my dad standing there.

"Lea, what happened?" Dad and Tommy asks.

"It, I, um... Well I heard a thud when we went to the parking lot to wait for you two then I see mom on the ground. I looked around then when I turned around everything went black." I explain.

"What happened after that?" Tommy asks.

"I woke up to the doll maker." I tell him. "He already started puting the silicone stuff in the thingy when I started to come to." I say pulling down my sleeves. My dad grabs my wrist and sees all the blood, so does Tommy.

"Did he do that to you?" Tommy asks.

"Sorta, he tied the knots too tight." I say. I start to cry at the fact that my mom is dead. Tommy and my dad try to comfort me then Tommy gets a call from Det. Lance.
