It was a few days after I found out that I had a conncussion. Mom and dad wouldn't let me anywhere near a screen. That's why I was over at Josh's.
Knocking on the door, a women opened it "hello can I help you?"she asked.
"Oh yeah, is Josh um here?" I asked kinda nervous.
"Josh, theres a very pretty lady here to see you?" she called over her shoulder into thr apartment.
"I have a feeling who it is ma" he said, appearing at the door. His smile grew wider when he saw who it was. Quickly he moved and picked me up "Hi Jess" he said carring me inside.
"Hi Josh, but I don't believe I've met this young lady over here" I said pointing to the women behind him.
"Oh yeah, mom this is my girlfriend I've been telling you about" he said proudly.
"Josh,I have a name you know" I stated.
"I know,ma this is Jessica" he said, setting me down.
"Hi" I said,shyly.
"Hello,Jessica I'm Lisa" she said, raising her hand to shake mine.
"Hey Jessica you still haven't told me why you're here?" Josh asked.
"Joshua" his mom yelled.
"I'm here because my parents, won't let me do anything" I complained.
"Why not?" Lisa asked.
"Because I have a concussion so they don't want me to get any worse" I complained.
"Would you stop your whining,I'll let you come to the ball park with me" Josh said, walking over to the door.
"Ok,bye Lisa" I said, following Josh out the door.
Reaching the ball park we walked in "Hey is my dad here?" I asked.
"No it's just us and the boys" he said reassuring me.
Entering the dugout I found my glove and joined the boys on the field.
"Hey guys, why don't we play a game" Marco yelled.
"Yeah" I called back, a smirk forming in my face.
We sorted us out into teams,I was on the opposite team of Josh. "Your pitching" Russel said, shoving my glove in my hands.
"Ok" I said, walking up to the mound. My first barter steped in the box,Josh.
"Hey Gibbons, your going down" he called from the batters box.
I threw the first pitch of the ball game.

After a few innings it was 2-0 my team. I was about to throw the next pitch when someone came barging out of the dugout.
oh shit
"Jessica Gibbons, come over here right now" dads voice boomed, making me drop the ball.
Standing up straight I walked over to him. "I'm sorry" I said, shyly.
"Don't you dare play shy with me young lady" he said, grabbing my arm and pulling me off the field.
"Dad,were are we going?" I asked.
"We're going home I need to talk to your mother" he said, pulling me throught the parking garage.
Once arriving home,I quickly rushed up the stairs. Knocking on the door,I entered Andys room. "Hey Jess",she said looking up from her book.
"I did something I wasn't supposed to" I confessed, sitting doing an on the bed with her.
"What did you do J?" asked worried.
"I am lied to dad and went and played baseball" I said.
Andy and I talked for the next few hours, having an occasional laugh.
"Jessica Andy the boys are here for dinner" mom called, from the bottom of the stairs.
Getting up off the bed Andy and I walked down the stairs. "Where's dad?" I questioned mom.
"In his office" mom said.
"I'll be back" I said, walking in the direction of dads office.
"Can I come in?" I asked leaning on the doorway.
"Yeah, come take a seat" he said.
"I'm sorry" I said.
"It's ok this time, but Jessica you have to understand when people say no it means no. You will also have to keep track of your schedule".
"What do you mean?" I asked confused.
"You and your mom were supposed to have lunch today, but you didn't show up" he said, sounding disappointed.
"Sorry" I mumbled.
"Jessica you're going to learn how to learn to make this work or something will have to give. It might have to be baseball or Josh" he said, getting up and walking away.
Wow I can't believe he just said that.
