"Hey Ma? Pa?" Jack asked still half asleep in the kitchen.

"Yes Sean?" His father answered, taking a long sip of coffee.

"What does it mean when you dream of a wolf you don't know?" Coffee was projected forward in a spit take from his father.

"What!? Sean, you dreamed of your mate! That's a sign of your mate!" Shona exclaimed, jumping up and down, arms wrapped around her confused son.

"My mate? How is that possible?" The young man couldn't wrap his head around the simple fact.

"When a wolf is about to meet their mate or come in contact with them, they have reoccurring dreams of their wolf form and sometimes, though it is rare, their human forms. You will know when you meet them though, trust me. It's instinct." Heiro explained to his boy.

"I'll be in America for the next few weeks, I'm leaving this afternoon! Do you think..." Jack paused, looking between his parents, "Do you think my mate is an outlawed wolf?"

"If they are, the past is in the past, well... it depends on what they did to become outlawed, otherwise, bring them home!" Jack's mother and father both agreed, smiling widely, something he never seen them do much before.

Jack asked as many questions as he could think of, his parents answering everything he could. A few hours passed, Jack's father was the first to notice and started, "Are you finished packing?"

Jack nodded, motioning to his suitcase and backpack sat in the hall by the front door.

"Alright, I'll drive you to the airport, It's already past noon." Heiro stood and grabbed his keys. He motioned his son to say goodbye to his mother.

"Oh, my baby! Going to the states before I!" Shona had tears in her eyes when she hugged Jack, "Be safe, yeah?" her boy nodded and walked out the door with his luggage.

"Just a little longer." Jack repeated, climbing into his father's car and waving to his pack members from the window.

"Now boarding US flight 170 to Indiana. Now boarding US flight 170 to Indiana." A static voice echoed through the airport, startling the nervous omega.

"You have a toothbrush right? What about suppressants?" Jack's father questioned, following him to the boarding hall, his son turned and shushed him.

"Father, I'll be fine. If anything happens, I'll tell you immediately," He hugged him close, "don't get in too much trouble while I'm away, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I'll try, travel safe Sean, I love you."

"I love you too, I'll text you when I land." And with that, he boarded his plane, unsure of what was ahead of him and honestly, he didn't care.

This wasn't Jack's first plane ride so he knew the safety precautions and ignored the attendant, doing what was needed and putting on his headphones, hoping to sleep through the flight.

A few songs later, the man drifts off to sleep, the same wolf from the previous night appearing before him, though this time it wasn't an image of the mysterious beast but something almost like a memory.

Jack was bounding around in his own wolf form, tackling the larger, unexpecting wolf into a soft bed of flowers. The omega laughed, feeling the happiest he's ever felt. The unknown wolf licked the other's nose.

The pleasant dream that seemed to last only a few minutes was interrupted by a flight attendant shaking his shoulder.

"Sir, we've landed." Jack nodded, thanking her for waking him and grabbing his carry on bag.
