-DIANA'S POV-
I'm staring out into space and hear Sam and Dean talking from the backseat. They think I'm asleep.
Sam is driving, so I feel Dean's uncomfortableness along with both of their sadness. "Ruby will meet us outside Cheyenne. She's been tracking some leads. I know she's not exactly on your Christmas list, but if she can help us get to Lilith-"
"Hey, man, work with Ruby, don't. I don't really give a rat's ass." Dean says.
"What's your problem?"
I give a mental sigh. All this empath stuff is getting annoying. I don't even have a clue how to control it, and it's really tiring to feel other people's feelings. I even can't really tell the difference from mine to theirs.
"Pamela didn't want anything to do with this and we dragged her back into it, Sam."
"She knew what was at stake."
"Oh yeah. Saving the world. And we're doing such a damn good job of it." Dean said sarcastically.
Sam sighed. "Dean-"
"I'm tired of burying friends, Sam." Dean said quietly.
"Look, we catch a fresh trail-"
"And we follow it, I know. Like I said, I'm just-" Dean sighed. "I'm just getting tired."
"Well, get angry."
There was some silence then Sam spoke up. "I wonder how Di is."
I heard Dean start to turn around and I closed my eyes. "She's asleep."
"That's not what I meant."
Dean turned back around to the front. "Yeah, well I know what you meant. She's probably going through hell, after feeling.....that."
"Did you see her at the funeral?" I remember the funeral. I could feel all the sadness in the air along with other feelings. It gave me a headache and I think I passed out, I'm not sure.
I think Dean nodded, cause there was silence for a second. "Dean, what are we going to do with her?"
"Well we're not just going to kick her out on the road. She's still Di. As long as she doesn't try to kill us, I'm okay with her having powers, as awkward as it may be. Besides, it might be a useful thing."
I tuned them out and drifted off to sleep.
I wake up to voices and feel arms holding me to a chest. I sleepily looked up to see Dean's face.
"Now, seven angels have been murdered, all of them from our garrison. The last one was killed tonight." a slightly familiar voice says.
Suddenly I'm hit by a train of all these different kind of feelings. Top one is annoyance which may have been mine.
"Demons? How they doing it?" I felt Dean's chest rumble as he spoke.
"We don't know." a voice said.
"I'm sorry, but what do you want us to do about it? I mean, a demon with the juice to ice angels has to be out of our league, right?" there's Sam.
"We can handle the demons, thank you very much." I know that voice. Ugh, I can't think when I'm sleepy.
"Once we find whoever it is." I know that is Castiel.
Dean shifted me in his arms. "So you need our help hunting a demon?"
"Not quite. We have Alastair." Castiel's gruff voice replied.
"Great. He should be able to name your trigger man." Dean said. I could feel someones's impatientness, not sure who's those.
