Chapter 6: Just A Dream

[Kagenami's POV]

           I finally realized that there was something cold like metal around my neck. I took it off and revealed that it was the pendant that Linda have given to me.

[A/N: This scene was when the Black Djinn grabbed Linda.]

Linda: (murmurs something to me)

          The atmosphere was dark as the time seemed like it was slowing down itself. In front of me and with my very own eyes... that thing... the black monster like thing crushed Linda with its very own hand like glass. No, instead of glass... it was like those people torturing the other slaves to death. It was like... I remembered the things they did all over again.

Me: (eyes widen and gasps) !!

~FLASHBACK~

             I remembered that horrible memory when I was still a slave. I was caged alone since I was the only child. The rest of the adults were caged together, but some of them were–

Slave 1: (tied in ropes with other two slaves) Please spare us all! We did nothing wrong!!

Slave 2: (tied in ropes as well) Why are you people doing this?! What have we done wrong to you?!

Slave 3: (tied in ropes as well) Please! Let us go!! Please!!!

Person 1: Hehehe... You slaves are nothing, but toys for us to play with, remember? (smiles) Are ya done now? Then bye bye~

            The person commands his men to push a huge boulder and let it roll by itself. The three slaves screamed and begged for help, but before they know it, they were dead. I also remember that many women slaves were abused and raped; while the men slaves were brutally killed in fights and used as shields. Back then, I wondered why... why such cruel people would want to do such thing. One by one to one and another, those people will dispose every single slave and use them whatever they want and who they want. And I knew that one day it'll come: the day when they will dispose me as well.

~FLASHBACK END~

Me: You have got to be kidding me...

"Live on..."
Those were the last words that Linda murmured to me...

Me: How can I live on... without you here...? Linda...

              I clutched the pendant tightLy as I felt everyone's eyes were on me. The people with strange weapons and the monster were coming towards me. I trembled in despair. Of course, someone like me doesn't have the power to do anything. Without thinking, I ran to the imperial court's door. However, it wouldn't budge. I banged and hit the door so many times, but no matter what... it wouldn't budge.

Me: (murmurs) Someone...! Anyone...! Please...! Please open the door...! Please don't leave me in here...!

The little me's voice echoing in my mind: Let me out!! Get me out of here!! Please!! I beg you let me out!! Someone!! Anyone!! Please don't abandon me here!!
