Chapter 2: A Feeling Or... Not

              As time flies quickly when a few and days have passed by, everything still looks the same as usual as I finished taking his highness Kouha's tray to his bedroom, fixing the laundry, prepared food, cleaning dishes, and finishing chores inside the palace. Normally I'll get my chores done quickly, but sometimes girls who served in the castle will complain over little things and wanted me to help them. For example: such as a bug like a...

              Interrupting my thoughts, about 10 servants rushed out of the castle out of nowhere as the first 4 of them ran fast like a horse as if there was a predator coming after them.

Servant Girl 1: (screams) C-C-C-C-Cockroach!! (runs passed by me)

Servant Girl 2: (screams) S-S-S-S-Spider!! (runs passed by me 2)

Servant Girl 3: (screams) R-R-R-R-Rat!! (runs passed by me 3)

Servant Girl 4: All of those pests are at the royal kitchen!! Run!!! (runs passed by me 4)

Servant Girl 5: (stops running and begs me) K-K-K-Kagenami! You have to get rid of them! (runs)

Servant Girl 6: (begging me 2) Please! We'll repay you by doing your chores in a week or month! Arigato! Bye! (runs along with Servant Girl 5)

Me: (emotionless, blank expression) You don't need too! [thinking] It must be "them" again.

               As I walked my way towards to the castle's kitchen, I saw a few broken glass shards, pots, and pans scattered all over the place, food becoming a waste, and the 3 "pests" that the other girls were talking about. The cockroach was on the floor running around me then came to my arm, the spider was on the counter then comes towards my shoulder, and the rat was at the cabin where the plates were at and then ran towards me to my other shoulder.

Me: Crocky, Spiky, and Romeo. How many times did I tell you 3 about roaming around the palace kitchen?

Crokey, the Cockroach: .......

Spiky, the Spider: .......

Romeo, the Rat: Squeak. Squeak.

               You probably think that I'm crazy, but I like animals and insects. Instead of killing them, I make friends with them. Funny, huh? I remember one time that I introduce a cat name Catty to Linda, but... he ran away from her before she got a chance to know him. Before I could say something, Crokey, Spiky, and Romeo ran out of exit to not get yelled at. This happens for quite sometime especially them being troublemakers.

Me: Well... I better start cleaning.

               I manage to clean up everything in the kitchen within a few minutes, but... then I heard a 'meow' coming from outside. At first, I thought I was imaging but the 'meow' grew louder as I ran towards the palace gardens. That cry... It sound so familiar, but... whose? It didn't take long when I found Linda in the gardens near to a tree. I ran towards her to see what's going on.

Me: (emotionless, blank expression) Is there anything wrong, Linda?

Linda: (turns her head to the side to look at me with teary eyes) K-Kana-chan...?

Me: ! (comes closer to her) (panics a little, but couldn't express an emotion) What's wrong?! Are you hurt?! Did you cut yourself?!

Linda: N-No, but... (points at the tree) C-Catty-kun wouldn't come down because I jump scared him. T^T

Me: (looks at the tree and Linda was pointing at Catty, a small white cat who looks like an innocent baby kitten) ....No wonder why that meow crying sound familiar.
