Chapter 7: In Order To Protect You...

*Early In The Morning At The Kou Empire's Library*

Jinjin: (gives up) It's no used. We nearly read every book in the library and there wasn't a single information in them. -_-

Junjun: (scanning the pages and picks another book to the next) We mustn't give up! There must be a speck of info in here somewhere! *^*

Reirei: (closes a book) Nope, there's nothing in this one. -.-

Junjun: [thinking] I won't give up! I won't give up! This is for Master Kouha's sake!! Above all, it's for Kagenami-san's as well! [speaking] Ah ha! Here it is! *O*

*Early(ish) and late(ish) in the afternoon*

[Kouha's POV]

Me: (stares at the ceiling and groan) Kana, I'm bored. Can you at least be my model for today?

Kana: (reading a small book called The World and pays no attention to me) You said that last time and the day before. (flips the next page) Plus this is the 24th time that you asked.

Me: (trying to act cute, pouts) But I'm really, really, really bored. –3–

Kana: I'm afraid that I have to decline. Why not ask Junjun, Reirei, or Jinjin instead?

Me: They can't. They have to write a long report about animals that they dislike. Plus they must complete till this evening. –_–

Kana: (still reading) That's unfortunate.

            If ya wondering where we are, the two of us were at my room, alone. I just finished a report that I've done for En so I'm taking the entire day off to spend time with Kana. However, as you can see, she's addicted to a small book than me. Then again, Kana really fascinates history books that could be tough or easy to understand. Once she learns something in particular, she'll be curious and was willing to research on that particular thing more. Why would I know, you asked? That I do not know. However, Kana will always rush to Linda, asking her tons of questions and Linda will answer her right off the bat.

Kana: (closed her book and was surprised) Since when did your head laid on my lap?

Me: I was tired plus this is my room.

               The thing about Junjun, Reirei, and Jinjin were doing was a lie. I told them to go to the Kou Empire's library to research more about the hidden Djinn, Nanami. My brothers told me to keep this as a secret from Kana because they believed that the "organization" might've want something with the Djinn and also might've caused Linda's death/disappearance.

Kana: It's been weeks since my position as a servant changed as your assistant. I can only do little things now.

Me: (looks at her) Do you hate it?

Kana: No, I appreciate it. However, it can only take a matter of time for me to get used to it.

Me: ...You don't have to worry, just relax once in a while. Once you relax, you can be at ease.
