A week went by and my mind was still on that box. Sable let me have some Black Cosmo seeds and I planted them yesterday. Today I was going to the city so I put the cosmos inside for the day. I got my outfit on and a lot of bells and I got on the bus. Kappin talked to me for a while because no one on the bus except for me. After I got off the bus I went to Gracie Grace hoping to see Labelle.  I talked to Labelle but I didn't say anything about the jewelry box. I then looked around and found a cute shirt I liked so I bought it but when I went to check it out at the counter I found a box. The black jewelry box Sable's mom had! I asked Labelle about it and she twitched she black nose and sighed.

“Rose, I- well, this is the month my parents died. Years ago, after they passed, right after the big fight, I was shoving my stuff in my old back pack. I told Sable I was moving out. Out to the big city. To here. I was packing all of my clothes, jewelry, magazines, and whatever I wanted to bring with me. I was 19 back then. When I finished packing, I ran out to the door while Sable was yelling at me. I reached the door when Sable insulted me and said ‘You’re going to waste your life away if you run away! You’re going to be on the curb, homeless and starving, begging for food or money! And when I ever see you like that, I’m not going to bring you back in!’ I turned around and another fight broke out. But when I headed back to the door, my face stained with tears, I noticed the old jewelry box. I knew Sable loved that thing, and she had to go back to Mabel to calm her down. I thought it would be like revenge to take it. So I snatched it and put it in my bag. I ran out the door and walked to the town, and then I took several buses with the last ounce of money I had to get here." Lable paused for a few seconds as she wiped away a tear streaming down her cheek. She continued telling me her story.

"Sable was right, I was on the curb, starving and thirsty, reading a torn up magazine from Gracie Grace. That was the last magazine I had left. Animals and humans walked by, ignoring me, but when midnight hit, when the streets were empty, I heard stilettos. I was almost done reading the whole magazine when I looked up at the tall figure. The animal stopped right in front of me. I looked up. I couldn’t believe it, it was a giraffe! It was Gracie herself! She asked me what I was doing when I told her everything, and that’s when she took me in. She said she needed another branch manager for her new Gracie Grace store in the city, and she picked me to be that manager. So that’s how I got here. In this store. But when January hit, I was digging through my drawers up in the 3rd floor, where I live, to find an old magazine. Instead I found the box. So that’s my story of the box.” Her voilet shaded eyes drooped down and her red lips turned into a frown.

“I never knew, that’s so sad…. But I don’t think Mable meant all that stuff about helping you. Is that why you won’t speak to your sister?” I asked her, crossing my fingers that I wasn't being too nosy.

“Yep. But she meant it. I know she did. But you can’t tell her about how I ended up on the curb! She’ll just laugh in my face! One time I wrote a letter to her after finding out she opened the old family shop in Key East. I told her that I earned the position as manager but it put it as I’ve been in good luck city ever since I moved out!” She said with her eyes widened.

“I promise I won’t tell, but maybe you should. Why not you guys get together? Why not I bring Sable and Mabel here? You guys can talk things out!”

“Yeah but…..” Label's voice trailed off, leaving me with no explanation.

“But what? You should to see your sister!” I said optimistically.

“Fine, but I have a plan.” She dragged me to the elevator to the 3rd floor to show me something.

“I cannot thank you enough Rose! Bringing me to a quill sharpening in this hard time! And paying for the whole thing, Amazing!” Sable thanked me with glee in her eyes.

“No problem! And just think of this as an ‘I’m sorry for making you tell me something you didn’t want to tell.’ I’m sorry about that too.Plus, every hard-working girl needs a day just to enjoy the relaxing spa!” I replied as we went into the tunnel that leads to the city. We were on the bus to a famous spa in the city, it goes by the name of 'Shampoodle'.

It was Saturday and the Able store is closed on Sundays. Sable doesn’t work that much on Saturdays so I’m taking her to the spa for a day off. It took almost one hour until we arrived, we then walked into the spa. Sable was directed into a special room for quill sharpening while I was in a seperate room getting a pedicure. Label was here getting her quills sharpened too. In the same room. Just the two of them, together.

An hour passed by when the both of them came out, together. They told me they made up, and Label offered to ship special Gracie Grace fabrics and other stuff to The Able Sisters Tailor Shop as an apology gift. Sable accepted, and six months later, The Able Sisters Tailor Shop reopened, with a new sister on their symbol. Instead of two porcupines on their small website, on the front sign, on ads, and on everything else, there were three porcupines. One brown, Sable, one blue, Mabel, and the purple one in the middle, Label. Of course Label didn’t move to Key East nor did she work in the shop. She stayed at Gracie Grace, right on Fountain Boulevard, in Serena City. Both stores became more popular, and both relationships became closer.

Sable also told Label that she never meant what she said about not helping her little sister, and Label told Sable the truth about what happened after the fight. Label gave Sable the black Cosmo box, while Label got some black cosmos to keep in her shop.  And every Sunday, Label would stop by the store and go to Key East’s church with her sisters, and then the sisters would go out and have fun, shopping, walking, going to the museum, or just  playing a board game at home. And as for me, I felt happier when I looked at the fact I saved a broken family.

Now it’s Sunday afternoon. I just got home from church and I’m sitting on the couch watching the news, when I heard a knock on the door. Three figures were standing at my door.
