Chapter 35
*SANTANA MILLER*
Ouch.
I touch my head. It’s fine, no blood, just a minor lump. I assumed that I got it when I was rolling my way down this cliff-ish hill side. I looked up. Wow I am blessed to be alive. That was freakin high. I tried to stand but I drastically failed. I think I sprained or God forbid…broke my ankle.
I sighed. What should I do now? I hope they look for me. I am a total mess right now. I jumped from my but when I heard a loud sound of the thunder.
“Great! Now it’s going to rain!” I exclaimed talking to no one.
I think I am going crazy. Tears started to fill my cheeks. I though this is going to be the best birthday but I think I’ll take that back. I sniffed. The rain started to pour.
“Santee!”
“Now I’m hearing things.” I said when I hallucinated hearing Brian’s voice calling me Santee, like he would call me that again.
I sniffed again and tried to crawl. I didn’t care about getting my legs dirty. Well it’s already full scratches from where I was rolling on the ground.
“Santee!”
I heard it again. It’s getting on my nerves. “What?!” I said shouting. Like someone would answer back. I crawled again.
“Santana is that you?”
I stopped. My eyes got widen. I looked up from where I fell. A flashlight. I gasped.
“Help me!”
“Santee is that you?”
Now that I can see that it’s real. I saw Brian’s face looking down at me. I cried.
“Yes!!! It’s me Brian!” I shouted back at him then sobbed. I know I should be thinking of being saved but he called me Santee.
“Are you alright? Why are you crying?” he asked.
“No! I think I broke my ankle.” I said.
With a swift movement he slid down the hill and before I knew it, he’s in front of me.
“Are you okay?” he ran towards me. His hands are on my face and then to my body checking me out.
I can’t take it anymore and I let out a loud sob. “Waaahhh huhuhuhuhuh”
“It’s alright. I’m here now.” He said hushing and embracing me.
I hugged him tightly and then he carried me. Yes, the way you carry a baby.
I wiped my tears and made a sniff. “Brian you can put me down.” I said blushing.
“No… you said you hurt your ankle and besides its raining.” He said.
I didn’t argue with him but just wrapped my arms around him. I miss him so much. If this is embrace is just a dream, please don’t wake up just yet…let me have this a little while longer.
Later he found a little cave shaped wall of the hill and let me down. A was startled when another thunder broke. I covered my ears.
“It’s okay.” Brian said.
I looked at him. His expression is hard. Is he mad? “T-thank you.” I said.
He sat down beside me. “Don’t do that ever again.” He said without looking at me.
“I’m sorry.”
He turned his body towards me and he put his hands on my shoulders. “Just….be safe.” He exhaled.
