I wake up the next morning and go downstairs. After hearing the bit last night I decided to go to sleep. Harry and Dudley wanted to be stubborn and stay though. I do hope Harry isnt in any trouble. Maybe Mum and Dad have cooled off? Maybe they'll tell me what the letters were about...

I hurried up and rushed to the kitchen. Food helps me to think. How was I going to get them to spill the beans? I sit down at the table and see that Mum, Dad, Dudley, and Harry were already there, sitting in a tense silence.

"Why are we all so tense?" I inquire.

"Well," Mum started, "We decided Harry was too big for the cupboard and moved him into Dudley's toy room. I suppose Dudders is still upset..."

"That's because I need that room!" Dudley complained yet again. In case you haven't noticed, he complains A LOT.

"Stop arguing and get the mail!" Dad snapped, still tense.

"Make Harry go ge-" Dudley was cut off by Dad.

"Go."

Dudley pouted and stomped off. This isn't going to be a good day, I can already tell. After a few moments, Dudley's yells could be heard all the way across the house. "There's more!! Maddy's is the same but Harry's address changed! 'Mr. H. Potter, The smallest Bedroom, 4 Privet Dr-"

Before he could finish Dad was already out of his seat with me and Harry on his tail. Dudley wasn't going to let go of the chance to see who wrote to us so that forced Dad to wrestle him to try and get it. It didn't help that Harry jumped on Dad's back and I stood there smacking everyone with Dudley's Smeltings stick.

After a few good whacks, Dad finally managed to get the letters and he seemed outraged. "Harry. Up to your cupboard, er, bedroom. Madison and Dudley, just go."

And with that, Me and Harry trudged upstairs as Dudley went back to finish his breakfast. Of course.

The rest of the day was pretty boring. Just me helping Harry rid his room of Dudley's stuff and organizing it to Harry's liking.

"

AAARRRGGGHHHH" I heard someone scream, waking me up. I rush downstairs to see what the commotion was and finding my Dad laying on the floor with a startled Harry next to him.

"What happened???" I ask as Mum and Dudley rush in.

"I decided to sleep by the door because I knew he," Dad glares at Harry, "would try and steal the post. But no I'm much to smart for him. And then he goes and steps on me!"

As he was talking six letters, three a piece, came through the slot. Before Harry or I could nab them, Dad picked them up and tore them to shreds. Welp.

Dad didn't go to work today either. He stayed home to board up the mail slot claiming, "If they can't deliver them then they'll just give up."

No matter how many times Mum tried to interject, Dad wouldn't have it. He'd go off about how their minds don't work the same as us, whatever that means. Hes being quite rude if you ask me...

~~~
Throughout the next few days, letters came in many different ways. In between cracks in the doors, through the window, some even ended up in our eggs!! But the strangest happened on Sunday.
I went downstairs to find Dad looking extremely smug.
"Do you know my favorite thing about Sundays?" He asked Harry and I.
"I'm guessing it isnt church..." I mumbled under my breath. He was starting to annoy me lately. Its just a letter! How bad could it really be?
When he got no answer, aside from my inaudible comment, he replied with, "No post on Sundays." And started laughing.
But as he was laughing, about a hundred letters came zooming in through the chimney.
"THATS IT." He screamed, keeping us away from grabbing any letters, "WE'RE GOING AWAY. GO AND PACK SOME CLOTHING. MEET BACK HERE IN FIVE MINUTES."
We all scurried off in various directions to our rooms. After we all packed, Dad hurried us off into the car and drove. We drove all day and we didn't even stop for food!! This especially upset Dudley as you could hear him sniffling every two minutes.
Eventually we stopped at a horrid looking hotel. Me, Dudley, AND Harry were all crammed into one room! At breakfast the next morning we were forced to eat stale cornflakes. Yum.
As we were eating in silence, as we had for the past week, the hotel manager came over to us.
"Excuse me, is there an H. Potter and an M. Dursley here? I've gotten about a hundred of these..." he said and showed us two letters, identical to the ones from before.
Yet again we were in the car driving. Mum was asking to go home and Dudley was complaining about missing TV. Then I remembered something. Tomorrow is Harry's birthday!!
"Harry!" I whispered, making sure Dad couldn't hear.
"Yeah?" He asked, keeping quiet as well.
"Tomorrow is your birthday!!" I say excitedly and squeeze his hand.
"Oh yeah..." he said and smiled. "Thanks for remembering Maddy..."
"No problem" i say and look outside. Where even were we? Dad parked us, went outside, locked us in, and walk off.
"Great! Now we're stuck here. Locked inside a car. In the rain. Greeeeaaaattttt." I say sarcastically.
"Daddy's gone mad, hasn't he?" Dudley says beside me.
Just as he said that, Dad returns. Was he... smiling? "Found the perfect place! C'mon, everybody out!" He points out at the water where theres a giant rock. And on the rock there was this little hut. Youve got to be kidding me.
