Enemies (A Draco Malfoy Fanfiction)

Chapter One

I wake up to my Mum knocking on my door. "Happy birthday Madison dear! Its time to wake up! Would you mind waking Harry up as well?"

"Thanks Mum! And okay" I groan and get out of bed. I am not a morning person.

I stomp downstairs to where Harry sleeps. I feel really bad for him. He shouldn't have to sleep down here. He's always been really nice to me. I knock on the door lightly. "Harry?" I ask, "Its time to wake up."

"Okay" I hear him mumble as he opens the door. "Good morning."

"Good morning Harry!" I say with a smile. "Mum wants you to look after the bacon in the kitchen."

He groans at the work. "Okayyy. Oh and Happy Birthday Maddy!" He says and gives me a hug.

"Aw thanks Harry! We're going to the zoo today! I hope you can come!"

"I doubt it." He says with a frown, "You know your parents dont like me much..."

"They like you perfectly we-" I was cut off by Mum screaming from the kitchen.

"HARRY GET IN HERE AND WATCH THIS BACON!! AND DONT LET IT BURN. EVERYTHING MUST BE PERFECT FOR DUDLEY AND MADISON'S BIRTHDAY!!"

"Sorry..." I whisper as he trudges off to the kitchen. Ill have to make it up to him later...

I decided to go back upstairs and sort out my mess of hair. I took a shower the night before so of course it was tangled. I grab my brush and sit in front of my vanity. I take a long look at myself. The same thick brown hair that runs in the family. Light blue eyes like my twin, Dudley. High cheekbones like Mum. Not much from Dad. I'm quite petite which is unusual in our house.

I brush my hair and get dressed. I decided to wear a nice floral skater dress matched with black flats. I decide to go back downstairs for breakfast.

I enter as Dudley is saying, "Thirty-six. Thats two less than last year..."

Before Mum and Dad can spoil him I step in. "Oh Dudley, its not about the presents. Mum and Dad love you the same."

"Yes and you forgot Aunt Marge's present!" Mum quickly said.

It was obvious that Dudley was about to throw a tantrum so she promised him and me two more presents each. Dudley looked satisfied but I had an idea.

"Mum?"

"Yes dear?" She replied, eating a piece of bacon.

"Anything I want?" I asked.

"Why of course!" Dad said. "It is your special day of course!"

"Well in that case..." I start, smirking, "I already know my first present."

"Anything dear!" Mum said, taking a drink of her tea.

"I want Harry to come to the zoo with us." I say bravely.

The whole room stopped. Dudley dropped his bacon. Mum spit out her tea. Dad was the first to speak.

"ABSOLUTELY NOT." He bellowed.

I felt like he would say this. I had to pull out the big guns. "But Daddy!!" I start, fake crying, "You promised me ANYTHING!!! If Harry doesn't come, it'll ruin my special day! He's my best friend! Dudley gets to bring his friend! Do you like him more than me? Do you even love me??" I pull my best fake tears. Hook. Line. And sinker.

"Oh no Maddy Darling!! We love you both equally! Of course Harry can come." Dad said, forcing out the last bit but I don't care. Harry's coming with us!! Yay!!!
