Chapter Seven: The Dreams

Another dull and useless year passed..but still..nothing. The group sat in the living room, gathered around a table, awaiting my response through the yellow banana notepad.
'All of you, fall asleep at exactly nine o' clock, and I'll be waiting in your dreams.'
They looked at each other and all sighed. "Okay Y/n, I'll do it." Gakupo smiles weakly.

I lay in Kaito's bed, then shutting down at nine like I had instructed everyone else. I blinked and took a breath, chills running down my spin as the feeling of the cold grass returned. I sat up, seeing everyone there. "Y/n!" Luka screams. Her embrace shortened my air, but I returned the affectionate hug. I held everyone closely, Kaito then smiling. "This is what I dream every night. Y/n does this. All of it." Len smiles and lowers his hands to hips hips, as does Rin. "Well, I'm impressed. I really want this to happen every night." Meiku then takes a sip of the red wine gripped effortlessly in her hand. "Yes..at night is where I break down. Without you I feel as if I'm nothing. Here with all of you is where I belong." I felt Gakupo's coat drape onto my shoulders gently. I thanked him, my goosebumps then disappearing. "Then this will be all you will dream. We'll all be here." Eri nods, and tags Gumi. "Tag you're it!" I chuckle as I joined the wild game, running along side Kaito and Miku as Akita chases Haku. Teto laughs and playfully pokes Oliver as he smiles and lunges at her.

The peaceful dream brought a happy awakening as I felt everyone's eyes open. "That was so soothing..I needed that." Kaito whispers beside me, turning in my direction. The door suddenly burst open. "Kaito! The dream! We found missing parts of her wire in the dream!" Kaito jolted to stand, running to Len and Rin's room. They both held missing parts clutched in their hands in confusion. "This..this is.." Rin looked a Len with wide eyes as they both looked at Kaito and Meiku. "We have to get this to Eri! Now!"

Eri stared at the blonde twins in disbelief as they rapidly gave the pieces to her. "The dreams..we have to have the dreams."

I sat there in silence as I watched them fix the wire I had cut two full years ago. I planned the last dream. It should be the last at least.. Kaito rocked his chair as his eyes skimmed through the book, his tongue savoring the taste of his icecream. I chuckle at his childish tendencies as a smile creeps my lips. I looked down into my lap in loneliness as I sigh into the soft sheets of his bed. "Y/n. Are you ready for the last dream?" I drew a 'Yes' into the sheets with my finger. He smiles to himself and nods. "Good..We finally get to see each other in real life.." I kissed his soft lips as I lay in bed, his arm wrapped around my invisible body.

I opened the dream, smiling as familiar faces surround me. "Where's Y/n?" My eyes widen as Len looked around, touching the spot I would spawn at in the dreams. "I don't know.." Meiku threw her bottle of wine and gripped her hair. "I knew this would happen..we were too late to find the wire pieces..We took two long years to find them..but we never did! Y/n! I'm sorry!" Kaito looked all around as I sobbed wildly. "No! That can't be true! We need one more! Just one.." I felt my knees buckle as I fell into the cool grass. Tears rapidly ran down my face as I held myself to the floor.

Akita laid a bundle of my favorite flowers gently into the spot I'd spawn. "She..She's really dead now.." Tears fell from her eyes. "Akita...I'm right here..Oliver..Please see me." I cried. I can't bear the loneliness I felt for the past two years. I can't..Kaito then clutched his shirt where his heart would be, and tried to hold back tears as he was embraced by Gakupo, followed by Luka. Miku hugged into Luka as the twins cried together on their knees. Haku gulped through the knot in her throat as Oliver held onto her hips, sobbing. Eri fell onto her knees and looked off into the once beautiful sky I created in the dream. The stars blossomed brightly as the breeze grew into a strong short wind. The blues mixed together into a dark abyss.

Gakupo then ripped off Kaito's shirt as his chest glowed and then stopped. A small wire piece fell into his hand as he looked up at Gakupo. "I..I had it the whole time..It all..makes sense now. We need to get back to her body."

I opened my eyes as I was finally seen through flesh and blood. "Y/n!" I was tightly hugged as I lay on the warm bed that was now mine again. Akita crossed her arms and sassily scolded me through tears. "Baka..Don't ever do that again.." Kaito held my hand as Miku apologized frantically. "I'm sorry..Y/n.." "You were forgiven two years ago." I chucked as she held my head in her arms gently. Luka breathed through tears, being held by Gakupo. Oliver smiled and touched my skin lightly. "It's real.." I giggle and kissed his forehead. "It sure is kiddo." Kaito grabbed my chin and kissed me. I closed my eyes and eased into it, feeling a heated blush form onto my cheeks. "Ooo! So cute!" Rin yells, a camera flash clouded my closed off vision. My eyes snap our d open as I chased Rin around, desperately screaming for the pictures as laughter was directed at me.

The stage was filled with my f/c and Kaito's blue as the love melody gave exhilarating pumps through the crowd's hearts. I brought my lips close to Kaito's as the fangirls screamed.
"And I'll never lose you again!" We sung. I breathed heavily as the song ended. I kissed him, his polished nails slightly digging into my skin as he held my head tightly. I smiled as we parted, exiting off the stage and embraced by Eri. "Great to have you back." Oliver jumped. "That was sappy!" I chuckled and rubbed through his hair.
