EVELYN'S POV
My parents had never really made a big deal that we are German, they never even taught me how to speak the language. So when they told me that they wanted me to go to a German school I was confused. At first I thought they were joking, then my mind started drifting towards wondering if we were literally moving to Germany. We weren't.
They had read an article in the paper about this school called the German-American International School (GAIS for short) and it had made them think to put me there.
"Don't I have to know German to go to a German school?" I asked.
"No, this one's international. You don't have to know German to go." Mom had told me.
Well, great. Now they're signing me up. I can't just, you know, switch schools. I have friends and stuff at my school. What are they gonna say about this? Well okay, they'll be sad but not sad. There's nothing really they can do. Summer will come and around the corner from that, GAIS. So I might as well make the most of it.ALEXA'S POV
"Did you guys hear!?" Zoella whisper-shouts as if she has the biggest news in the world. I hate her, so do most of the other people in our 16 person grade. I don't know why all us girls follow everything Zoella says.
"What?!" Everyone plays along.
"WE'RE GETTING A NEW STUDENT NEXT YEAR!" Zoella tells us, lighting up and tucking a strand of her long dark hair behind her ear. This is big news. Usually people leave our school. Year by year, slowly our grade has gotten smaller and smaller, which explains why our grade doesn't have enough students to fill a school bus.
"Is it a girl or a boy?" Zara asks. She's tall with bright blonde hair and defined facial features. She's strikingly pretty but her personality isn't as great. She's like Zoella's little minion, though they get into fights all the time, they're best friends.
"A girl." Zoella says, smiling. She always smiles so big, its like her smiles are artificial. She obviously loves all this attention she's getting.
"Wait, how do you know this?" Emilia asks. She's tall with dirty blonde hair and cheeks that are always a bright red and wears big black-rimmed glasses that cover half her face. She's super sweet and everyone loves her.
"That's cool." I say. I hope this new girl isn't much like Zoella or Zara.JACOB'S POV
Every day before school all the guys huddle and talk (except for Peter who hangs with the girls) and the girls huddle to talk. GAIS (or GAYS as the guys call it) is very seperate when it comes to guys and girls.
"Guys guess what I heard from Zoella!" Nikita blurts as he runs down, his backpack rolling behind him. He's always the last person to get to school.
"Why the fuck would you talk to that bitch?" I ask. Zoella is a small demon. She thinks she's all that but she's not. She also thinks that all the guys have a crush on her and she's specifically interested in my best friend Pablo. I feel bad for the guy cuz he's probably the nicest out of all of us and he doesn't know how to make her stop nicely. If I were him I'd tell that small douche to fuck off.
"Well I didn't talk to her, I just overheard." He says. Nikita's voice is hella high compared to the rest of us, the way he phrases his words could be described in no other way but charismatic.
"Good." Pablo says, pretending to shiver at the thought of Zoella.
"So, what did you hear?" Matthew asks. He's the only one of us who isn't into soccer, which is basically most of what we think about. When he first came to the school he asked Pablo and I about one of the girls and Pablo told him "Here at GAYS we don't talk about girls." We got the best. Reaction. Ever.
"I heard we're getting a new student next year!" Nikita says.
"Why the actual fuck would someone want to come to our school?!" I laugh. The others do to cuz they all agree. Our school is full of drama yet fucking boring at the same time. Plus we have some pretty strange teachers.PABLO'S POV
According to Nikita we're gonna be getting a new student, a new girl student. But Nikita heard this from Zoella who is a compulsive liar. She lies to get her way, and in this scenario she's not gaining anything from this new girl so either she's doing it for attention or there's actually gonna be a new girl sitting in one of the desks on the first day of eighth grade.
You're probably wondering why I'm so hesitatant to believe Zoella, and that's because I've seen what she can do. She likes me. A LOT. She acts all sweet in front of me and tries to make herself look so great, while making every other girl look bad. She also somehow knows a lot about me, which creeps me out. I just want to get her off my back without hurting her feelings.
Zoella's not the only girl at GAIS who likes me. Most of them do, and I feel kinda bad because I've got all these other guys who are jealous of me and all these girls I don't have feelings for. I don't even know why they like ME of all people.
