EVELYN'S POV

After brunch Alexa and most of the class takes German. The people who don't speak German take English literature.
"You're SOOO lucky you don't have to take German," Multiple people in the class tell me. We're standing in a sort of circle in front of the classrooms, waiting for the teachers to let us in.
"Why?" I ask sheepishly.
"Two words: Frau Bögl." Pablo tells me. Some of the guys imitate what seems like vampires at the sound of the words.
"What the heck is a frog bull?" I ask.
Everyone erupts into laughter. I don't get it, what's so funny?
"We should start calling her that!" Nikita blurts.
"Bruh, you're already making this hell hole more interesting." Jacob laughs.
"Frau Bögl is the German teacher." Ariana, a brunette who's best friends with Alexa explains to me.
"Ohhh! I definitely knew that!" I nod, laughing. This scenario 100% proves how much German culture my parents have introduced me to.

JACOB'S POV

The rest of our first day flies by, and soon its the last period of the day, social studies. I've heard this year our social studies teacher is pretty cool, which I hope is true. When the class walks in, he instructs us all that we may pick our seats, but each table must have two girls and two guys.
Pablo and I look at each other and nod.
"Shit, bruh, don't look now but Zoella is eying you." I roll my eyes. Pablo turns slightly to see Zoella and Zara staring at us. Fuck.
Pablo looks around the room until he spots Evelyn, who is standing a few people away. He then looks at me and I nod and smile. This is why Pablo's the smart one.
"Evelyn!" Pablo whispers. She turns her head to face us. Pablo points at a table in a way that Zoella won't be able to see, Evelyn nods. She looks like she's trying to hold back laughter.
When the teacher lets us go pick our seats we fast walk to the table Pablo had pointed at. Evelyn, Pablo, and I all take a seat. A split second later we realize that Zoella is sitting right next to Evelyn, across from me, diagonal to Pablo. How the fuck did she get here so fast?
"Hey, Pablo, looks like we're table mates!" She tells him. He looks at me in a way which makes me feel like he's going to drag Zoella in her chair outside and dump her into a dumpster. At this point Evelyn and I are both laughing way harder than we should.
The teacher takes roll and when he calls Evelyn's name he welcomes her to the school. "Welcome! It seems like you've already made a few friends. I was just thinking though, it says here that Alexa is supposed to guide you until you get the hang of things, am I right?" He says.
"Yeah," Evelyn smiles.
"Oh, well in that case, Zoella could you switch seats with Alexa?"
I look at Pablo, his smirk is hilarious. Then I look at Zoella who looks like she wants to strangle Alexa, like it's somehow Alexa's fault.
The two girls stand up and switch seats.
Alexa's smiling pretty big, everyone knows she has a huge crush on Pablo, too. That's why she and Zoella especially hate each other.
Pablo's not too keen on Alexa, but everyone knows that anyone is better than Zoella.

PABLO'S POV

Sometime's I wonder if the people in the office at my school even realize some of the inconveniences around the school. For example, we have rows and rows of lockers, but our whole grade is all in one row because we're so small. I'm guessing that they expected our school to be very popular or something. I can't imagine how let down they must have been to see this size of the school. Anyways- back to lockers. Our whole grade is one sow of lockers, this makes it very crowded and many people have to wait for the others who have lockers around them to gather all their stuff, to be able to get to their own stuff.
I sit down on one of the schools benches, I'm one of the last people to get here. Most people run to the lockers once we're dismissed, Jacob included. I don't.
Zoella takes a seat on the bench, uncomfortably close to me. "Pablo, I'm SO sorry I had to switch seats with Alexa. Nikita told me how much you wanted to sit next to me and it's obvious you wouldn't want to sit next to Alexa!" She tells me, fluttering her eyelashes.
"Oh... ehrm, it's fine." I stammer. I am going to K I L L Nikita.
"So, did you like this year's social studies teach-" She starts, but my locker clears up. "I'm going to get my stuff, see you tomorrow." I say quickly sitting up.
When I walk up to the lockers, I give Nikita and unimpressed look. "Seriously, dude?"
"Sorry! It was hilarious to see how excited she got!" He laughs.
"Bruh!" I roll my eyes, typical trouble maker Nikita.
